The PC version requires Steam and a 1.2GB download before you can play it. I buy retail games to avoid huge downloads but with this one, I got slapped with a huge download anyway. For many this may not be a big deal but I am stuck on dial-up (I live in the sticks) and had to use approx. 1/4 of my monthly allowance of my precious and expensive mobile broadband just to get this game to where I could play it. Had I known this this I never would have picked it up. The gameplay is also pretty monotonous and gets boring fairly quickly.

yup, I also found this out the hard way. nowhere on the box is this mentioned, though it is branded as a Games for Windows game. certainly the requirements section did not list internet connection. I was pissed and called into support, but they could do nothing. Luckily I bought the game on clearance for less than $5, so I did not feel shafted.
