I have last year's model, the A630, and I have been very pleased with it. I paid about $1700 for it just 6 months ago.
One nice thing about these Samsung models is that the speakers are invisible. It makes it look more like a video monitor than a TV.
I was hesitant at first about Amazon shipping, but on the whole it was a satisfactory experience. It was nice to save on the sales tax and the Electronic Recycling Fee (about $35 dollars if you live in California).
