Referral code. $80 off the first year, but it kicks back OP $17.

The way dreamhost referrals works is you create a code and a discount for as much as you want, up to $97. The difference between the discount and the code is kicked back to the referrer.

Referrals are, I believe, against the fatwallet terms. This thread should be closed.

And if you google, you should be able to find a code that gives you the highest available $97 discount.

Depends on what you are hosting. It's ok for personal use. For business it is lacking, unless you just want a site to tell people where you are located

Used to be terrible - frequent outages, sometimes many a day that they would joke about in their blog. However they have gotten better in the last 1-2 years. If your business relies on your website you probably shouldn't be bottom-fishing, but for basic usage they are probably the most affordable option out there.

Their SQL servers tend to be overloaded, so if you have a site that hits a database often, it may be sluggish as hell.
