Is zipzoomfly rebate reliable?

dillongeo said: Is zipzoomfly rebate reliable?

I've never had any issues with them. Rebate comes in the form of a prepaid Visa. The process is a little odd IMO but I've always gotten the rebate.

Don't forget 2% Bing CB, or 1% FW CB

Does anyone know if they've started making these with 1-500GB platter instead of the older 2X250GB platters? I know some of the 500GB blues are shipping with the newer 1 platter technology.

Just bought the 1TB version (Caviar Black) from Best Buy for $99, used a reward certificate that basically saved me the tax on it. So for $102 I was able to get it in store and install Windows 7 on it over the weekend. I was originally going to buy the 500 GB version but it was too much money IMO for the size, with this sale the 500 GB version is a very nice price.

What about the $15 off eBillme offer on ZZF? I guess you need to spend $100 tho

Got one for a new Windows 7 dual boot install. Not a bad price at all with the rebate. Thanks OP!

ironman69, did you receive you order yet? Can you do a quick hd tune on the drive to see whether it is a one or two platters?

Dumb question, but I take it they will accept that rebate again if you've bought something else on the list already and used it for that? The verbiage in the fine print is kind of vague but I would think every one of those drives are considered particular qualifying offers, but it doesn't say "one of" the following or something like any/all of the following ...

Fair warning - read the zipzoomfly store reviews here: Store Reviews Some of them are not so flattering.

and they don't have the best search/sort options like Newegg, but I guess like many cheapskates I will sacrifice a bit of service for price.

No just ordered yesterday. I imagine it wont get here until the middle of next week.

What about the 750GB for $70 from NooEgg without the MIR? More GB/$.

If you are gonna go up to around $70: For 1TB drives, this is a good deal:

Sammy

The drive gets reviewed as being blazing fast.

nice call on the samsung drive

if you want caviar black in the 1tb size, Amazon has it for $95

How does this one compare HITACHI Deskstar P7K500 0A35415 500GB SATA 7200 RPM 16MB Buffer Hard Drive Bulk ? I wasn't sure how much of a difference the 16mb vs the 32mb of buffer is?

Is there anything else to note. Price seems pretty good? $44 after mir.

Thanks for the help/feedback.

The coupon in the OP did not work for me even before it expired.
For $/GB, how does this 640 GB Caviar compare at $63 after rebate?
