If you buy two the starting price per card is only $38/each. The rebate doesn't specify a limit of one per household or one per order so it would be possible to buy two for $76 - $20 promo code - $30 rebate (15$ x2) = $26 for two cards. Might be useful if you're building a computer for a friend or to have as a spare. Free shipping and no tax to NY.
I guess if you are seriously pinching pennies but there is a nice HIS I believe on Newegg 4650 512mb for 35ar that I am sure out performs this atleast 2x
Thanks. Just wanted a cheap card for a home desktop. Though .. probably should wait for a deal on a slightly better card such as the exired deal on MSI R4670-MD1G Radeon HD 4670 for $39.99 After MIR & Free Shipping
On second thought ... I upgraded to ASUS Radeon HD 4650 1GB 128-bit CrossFire Supported Low Profile Ready Video Card for $34.99 After $20.00 MIR. Definitely worth $15 upgrade in case you would like to have flawless blue ray playback and some mild intensity gaming later on. The 4650 deal is avalable at neweggg too.
This was the final piece for an inexpensive HTPC/DVR -- under $200 for all parts (granted, I had memory and HD from previous machine)... and not that it matters, but I bought all parts at Newegg. Damn good service!
I didn't need an expensive video card because I am going to s-video out to BOCS, which will allow all my TVs in the house to access the HTPC, along with my video baby monitor.
