I own this- and just to warn you... when they say steel, they mean 'soft pig-iron'.

While I don't have a way of testing the hardness I did twist a security bit when I was attempting to loosen an ALUMINUM screw.

These are really handy to have around. I purchased what looks like the same set from a different vendor a while back and have found them to be great for getting past all sorts of security bolts like the roof rails on my Saturn Vue. I agree that it's not very hard steel, but so far (knock on wood) they've worked great for me in every instance.
