Amazon is responding to WalMart's price for the upcoming Star Trek movie as well as other upcoming DVD releases. It appears that they will match the price of whatever new DVD releases that WalMart decides to sell for $10.

They are price matching other DVDs as well.

Night at The Museum 2

Angels & Demons

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Terminator: Salvation

I think that it's safe to say that Amazon will match every title that WalMart offers for $10.

When regular DVD's are that cheap it's hard to justify buying the blu ray for 2x or more

seriously???? YES! I couldn't get them from WalMart because they wont ship them to CA (for some reason)...and I checked earlier and they weren't matching the price yet on Amazon. Made my day, OP!

My pleasure. This is also a good deal for subscribers of Amazon Prime or anyone who would prefer to charge these discs to their Amazon credit cards for the extra points.

Thanks! One more gift down. Great price!

Hang on, it looks like WalMart is offering the 2-disc edition of the Star Trek movie for $10 while Amazon is only offering the single disc edition. Let's see if Amazon drops the price on both editions.

I just checked WalMart.com and while it looks like they're erroneously using the picture of the 2 disc version for both the 2 disc and single disc, the 2 disc version is still ~$21. I do hope Amazon does drop it some more before release, as I already have it preordered there.

Ive already watched the blue ray via My WDHDTV.

For you Blu-ray collectors WalMart has the Terminator Salvation 3 disk Blu-ray on pre-order for $16.86.

the blu rays are super cheap as well (price has dropped on Star Trek to <23 an on Terminator Salvation to <$17... Thanks OP!

Thanks OP...got one of each! Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 3 disc blu ray is only $16.99.

The Harry Potter one is a steal! Blu Ray and DVD editions plus digital copy, easy choice!

It may be a good price, but I thought it was easily the most boring movie in the series. From my perspective, not a whole lot happened. I turned to my wife and asked "so what if he was the half blood prince? They didn't even explain what it MEANS in the movie!"

Julie and Julia was also $10 and has the following attached to it, although it implies it should come with other DVDs and Blu-Rays

I bought 3 and got FSSS and put it on my Amazon card

thanks op!

Awesome! Got the Blu-Ray Harry Potter and also picked up the 4 disc Blu-Ray Disney Pixar Up too! Pretty good price at only $19.99.

competition in the marketplace is good for the consumer

Any expiration date of this? Want to order some but need to check with family members first to get gift ideas

I would assume that the deal is good at least until the movies are officially released. Beyond that... who knows? I've never seen a price war like this before.

as long as we can profit / spend more money!

Excellent. In for one. Thanks, OP.

No shipping to Wisconsin at this price. I assume because it is a total loss leader. Our consumer protection laws end up shafting the consumer half the time.

Another happy shopper in CA.

Just got HP and the Half-blood prince on Blu-ray for $16.99, thanks!

although they wont send it to CA...WalMart dropped their prices to 9.98...lol

Great price on HP DVD. Thanks OP!

Sweet deals out there. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction OP.
