I was just at Lowes. Picked up a foyer chandelier that was originally priced $187 for $11.88. I also got 2 table lights for $13.87 that were orig. $218!!! They were unopened, in sealed packing. They were cleaning out their lighting inventory. I am sure YMMV with this one. Fixtures werew dark brown color - close to oil rubbed bronze.
They do this regularly at the Lowes stores by me. You really have to pay attention since they usually handle this like a jewelery sale... "70% off what?" is an important question. On the other hand, they have had some truly fine bargains in the lighting department, where I once bought up a batch of $30-$40 pendant lights for less than $5 apiece to complete the lighting in my wine cellar with. They're terrific.
Yeah Claymore, I was talking to one of the guys that works there, and he said his basement is full of stuff that was marked down 90%+ like this. Pretty cool! The brand is Portfolio.

Same here. Made a trip to local Lowes (Atlanta area). Didn't see any clearance. However, did see a nice looking 52" fan on clearance for $17.xx (marked down from $44.xx) without light attachment. Again highly YMMV and don't know SKU or brand.
Ok nick2196, you posted this on SD and got 9 pages of comments about whether it was a valid deal or not. I think you owe people the effort of at least posting the upc from the box, or the item number from the receipt. Its not a deal worth posting if there is no information besides a store name and a department.

for what it's worth the clearance merchandise at lowe's is negotiable. I've purchased a few clearance items where they've come down even lower than the clearance price just to move them. I don't think they'd go lower than the OP's $12 price for a $180 item but i just wanted to pass along the info for future use.
