Dell has SP2009W 20-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor with Integrated 2.0 Megapixel Webcam for $110 in their daily deals

Linky

although its a TN monitor I have been waiting for a decent monitor with USB hub, this is perfect for my requirements.
use FW ca$hback or Bing

After moving to California, I am sorry to say that Dell is out of my list.
The 10% tax + 10% recycling fee have made all discount meaningless.

1680x1050

cant turn vertical for 1050 x 1680

most websites are only 1024 pixels wide. have a screen wider than that only gives you white space. (and i dont watch movies on my computer.)

i rather have 1080 wide and 1680 long so i dont have to scroll down that much.

oh when will an inexpensive 1680x1050 monitor come along that i can turn vertical? (w/o mounting to a wall)

But to be far - wouldn't that be true for any electronic purchase from ANY store?

PS Drive up north and pay a visit - Oregon has no sales tax nor recycling fee!!

Too bad that I am in LA. I found Amazon is the (only?) nicer place to shop.
I am missing the good old time when I was in MO.

You can just change the stand to a rotating type if it has VESA mounts. No big deal. Software easily handles the rotation. Problem is that any TN monitor will have very tight viewing angles when rotating as it was not meant to be viewed that way.

but thats more $.
it defeats the purpose of buying a cheap monitor.

Not really. I've seen very few stock stands that are of high quality. They tend to all be wobbling minimal adjustment POSs.

is this a great deal for 110 or the 24'' for 210?
