Just received an email from Amazon. Seems pretty decent, given it is around $500 based on a Google products search.

Save $250 on the Samsung HMX-H105 Camcorder

Dear Amazon.com Customer,
As someone who has shopped for camcorders, you might be interested in saving on Samsung's HMX-H105. This camcorder features 1080p full HD video recording and optical image stabilization for the best shot possible.

We've already taken a $50 manufacturer's instant rebate off the original Amazon.com price of $649.99, making your price only $599.99. On top of that, add the camcorder to your Shopping Cart, enter promotional code HIO5SAVE at checkout, and Amazon will apply an additional $200 in savings.

This offer is valid through November 14, 2009, or while supplies last. Applies only to purchases of products sold by Amazon.com. Does not apply to products sold by third-party merchants and other sellers through the Amazon.com website. See terms and conditions.

According to the new spec from Samsung, this camera does not do 1080p.

Really good catch. Someone (not me) should call cust service and inquire about the discrepancy. They're claiming full HD in the email and on the camera.

This cam has some pretty bad reviews. Its a shame, it looks sleek

Contrary to what some may think, Full HD is 1080p or 1080i, which is what the camera records. There's no mistake made by Samsung.
