Staples has the canon SX120 for $249 with a $50 gift card after rebate. SX120 at staples

Bestbuy has the same camera for $199 SX120 at Bestbuy

Also there is a 10% off coupon for Staples link

So with the Price Match/coupon/rebate it can possible come out to $120. Of course YMMV

$250-$50(PM) -$50(rebate) -$20(10% off) = $130

it won't work like that
Staples will price match after all coupons/rebates have been exhausted
250 - 10% - 50 = 175
175 is lower than 199 at best buy therefore no PM

Thanks, OP.

PM worked, but would not the 10% off - will be $167.49 after taxes, GC.

Pacific Beach store (Garnet Ave) in San Diego

Glad you got it I think the price match should definitely work. YMMV on the coupon.

I am pretty sure the price match will work. Coupon is YMMV.

Got me one.
PM'ed to BB and used $10 coupon. Manager didn't care but he didn't know that there was a MIR.
The clerk made a face when she saw the rebate print out.
But I'm not too happy with the fact that flash does not popup automatically. It's probably going back.

I did compare SX120 & SD780.
Yes, they are not in the same product family. But at this price, sounds SD780 is a better deal. And rating of SD780 is also higher than SX120 if you read various reviews.
SX120 uses 2 x AA batteries. I am very nervous on this point. According to my experience, any Canon DC takes/took 2xAA batteries has/had an issue of short-battery life, Canon A5xx family, A7xx family... For this reason, if using AA battery, I prefer Canon A6xx, or S5/S2.
Otherwise, I go Canon SDxxx family, which uses Li-On battery. SDxxxx looks a little cheap (very plastic), not my favorite.

I'd take the SX120 over the SD780 mainly because the zoom is better.

I'm going to get the SD780 because I already have an SLR. I want one that's super small.

total comes to 193$
249-50(price match) -20(10%off)+tax 13$=193$
and will get a gift card after 6 weeks.
so total will be 143$...
