Good price from Horchow tho, for me after shipping and tax it ended up $415 total. I jumped on it. Thanks.

I sent mail about accessories. This is the response I got from Horchow
Thank you for contacting Horchow Online. We have the information that you have requested for the HCF10_H4P2Z, the CanonCamcorder. The camcorder arrives in new condition and the accessories included are the camerabag and the digital expressions 2 software. We would be happy to place your order for you or you may place your order online. www.neimanmarcus.com/ To place your order via telephone, please call 1-877-944-9888.
I think it is retail package. Price is very good. But hesitating about the seller, because it is first time I heard about this site/store
there is big thread about this horchow deal on sd... apparently horchow doesn't stock the camcorder, it comes from another vendor, and there is a $40 non-refundable fee added... i would avoid at all costs, spend more to stick with a reputable vendor that sells electronics, not a drop shipper.

I pulled the trigger and ordered one. $413 was too good of a price to pass up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The fact that Horchow is a Neiman Marcus company gave me a little bit of reassurance -- even though the site did not have glowing reviews on e-opinions. (Although, it seemed like most of the complaints were targeted towards furniture delivery).
I don't see anything in Horchow's return policy about a non-refundable fee if you return the item. The return policy gives 100% refund if the item is returned within 60 days. Restocking fee is only for returns of "large and heavy items."
Merchandise Returns
We want you to be completely happy with your order. You may return unused, undamaged merchandise within six months for exchange, credit, or refund. Returned merchandise should be in original vendor packaging and be in the same condition as when it was delivered to you. Used merchandise cannot be returned unless defective. A pickup/restocking fee may apply to returns of large and heavy items. We cannot accept COD returns. Return Within Amount of Credit 0-60 days from receipt of merchandise 100% of purchase price 61-120 days from receipt of merchandise 75% of purchase price 121-180 days from receipt of merchandise 50% of purchase price 181+ days from receipt of merchandise 0%
Merchandise returned more than six months after the delivery date will be shipped back to you at your expense.
notice how your paragraph didn't mention shipping fees... you'd be out $40, plus the cost to ship it back.
this horchow company doesn't even have a listing on resellerratings.com, which should tell you something.

I saw a post on SD on this but it has been removed. The interesting thing is that in that post someone commented that they saw a previous post on this same topic and THAT post was ALSO removed. Why is SD removing all posts regarding this camcorder on sale at the Horchow site???

Good point! I'll definitely be crossing my fingers then! I'll tell you one thing though, if there is something wrong with the camcorder which makes me need to return it, then they WILL either be (1) sending me a new camcorder as a replacement or (2) refunding my purchase price PLUS shipping costs. Should this happen and they do not do one of those two things, I'll haul their ass into small claims court!

I just finished an online chat with Horchow. I asked them where the item was shipping from. This is the transcript of the chat session:
A Horchow Customer Care associate will be with you momentarily. Thank you for contacting Horchow Online. My name is Carlisa Dixon. Please stand by while I research your inquiry.
Joe: Thanks. Carlisa Dixon: The manufacturer is located in Japan. Joe: I know that. Does it come directly from Canon, or from another reseller? Joe: What is "PC TREAURERS INC." Carlisa Dixon: One moment please while I research this for you. Joe: Thanks. Carlisa Dixon: I will be right with you. Carlisa Dixon: Thank you for waiting. I will be with you in just a moment. Carlisa Dixon: I am sorry for the delay. I will be right with you. Carlisa Dixon: Thank you for waiting. I will be with you in just a moment. Carlisa Dixon: The item would ship from Oxford, Michigan. Joe: From whom? Joe: Is the reseller "PC TREAURERS INC."/ Joe: Do you have any info on what comes in the package along with the camcorder? Carlisa Dixon: Yes. Carlisa Dixon: Per vendor the accessories are Camera Bag and Digital Expressions II Carlisa Dixon: Software. Joe: Ugg... It doesn't fill me with confidence that they do not know how to spell Treasure! Joe: And I assume it comes with everything it is supposed to come with (i.e., battery, lens cap, etc!) Carlisa Dixon: Yes. Joe: Ok. Joe: Thank you for your help. Carlisa Dixon: You are welcome. Carlisa Dixon: Is there anything else I may help you with? Joe: Umm, will I get a shipping notification once it ships? Do I get that from Horchow or from this other company? Carlisa Dixon: When the item ships you will receive an email verification from Horchow. Joe: The odd thing is that I looked up PC Treasures in Oxford, MI and they are a software company. Their website does not list that they sell camcorders. Very puzzling. Has Horchow dealt with this company before? Carlisa Dixon: I will be right with you. Joe: ok Carlisa Dixon: I am sorry for the delay. I will be right with you. Carlisa Dixon: Yes Horchow has worked with this vendor. Joe: Ok, thanks for your help. Carlisa Dixon: Thank you for visiting Horchow Online. Please feel free to contact us at anytime. Chat InformationChat session has been terminated by the Customer Care Associate.

Horchow said most of the orders got canceled by their vendor already. Check the status of your order on the Horchow site. The Horchow rep said the vendor does not have enough in stock.
Yesterday Horchow assured me that my order would be fulfilled and this morning I received the cancellation email.

cancelled via email? I ordered 2 yesterday and have got nothing yet.
I got no problem with ordering 2 of these (one for a friend or whatever), but to those who got carried away ordering ridiculous quantites, this is a FW no-no!! All that does is draws the retailers attention, possibly killing the deal for everyone.

Just wonder why USA government allows such wicked web-stores like supremecamera.com to live. USA is considered to be a developed country, and this online cheating has been there for many years. Are there some authorities to quickly abolish such notroious stores?
