According to my searches, a new Bravia DAV-IS50/B seems to go for $800, and a refurbished system goes for $600. This is a smaller system designed for a smaller room (hence, “micro” system).

Review at alatest.com: 85/100 (very good)

Condition: Refurbished

But who is selling it?

In my searches...which consisted of going to the first link on google (Amazn.com)I see new going for $550 shipped from J&R.

This does a good bit more than last week's dav-is100 (plays cd and dvd, has ipod dock, has universal remote etc. but appearantly has no HDMI input/switching) and looks to me like an OK deal, Sony refurbs are nearly always absolutely like new.
