Link to laptop: This laptop had been posted some weeks ago at $349.99. At $329.99 it is a good deal for a non-demanding user who wants to buy quickly. As for brand names, I have Compaq, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo and HP laptops. They're all good in their own way, and I've only had to have one (the HP) serviced under warranty (though I am annoyed at Lenovo because they still have not shipped the Windows 7 "free" [17.95] upgrade). SKU: 9555769
Edited to include link and sku (thanks, Elizedge).

not hot, not average...just bad. This is the HOT DEALS forum. not the "EVERY DEAL THAT COMES DOWN THE PIPE" forum. Pay $20 more get a dual core processor, better video. IE the Staples deal.

link is broken

i did a search on FW and $taples site and don't see an acer deal @ 349.99. anyone have the link?

thanks

Acer & Asus support aren't the best, figure that in.

Define hot, of course that is hot for you.
For many a $329.xx laptop is hot.
Most do not need the $20 more (alleged) if you can find it more for dual core.

Post the $349 dual core.

'non-intensive'...i love that

supposedly you can transplant these machines too.. to a dual core chip post warranty.. or sooner if you don't care..

Got it.

Microcenter Acer

and a cheaper ($279) E-Machines/AMD

$300 is the new-normal for single core 14-15" notebooks.

Note that Microcenter is in-store only (only 22 stores in entire USA) and has a gig less ram.

Thanks Christmas... I think this is a solid deal with great reviews from the folks who purchased the item.

How is it weak if this is the best price right now?

that was a real hot deal, that day

Why talk about Asus when this is an Acer Product? Asus and Acer are two different and unrelated companies.
