this looks to be a decent deal. around $35-$40 off internet price. looking to go sometime next year and considered the "splitting" of 6 day tickets with someone else. this price makes it a little bit more cost friendly to buy directly through disney. i sent an email asking if these tickets can be upgraded to the annual pass and will post response here when they respond.
question: what other savings tips have disneyland travelers used in the past as it seems the biggest out of pocket costs are the tickets and lodging.

You can upgrade the ticket to an annual pass, anytime before the ticket is used up and I believe that the start date of the AP is from the first day you used the original ticket.
thanks for the feedback. i wanted to initially go the "shared" ticket route, but also scared of the interogation (not very disneylike) that seems to be going on of late. i guess if i do share, it is always best to use the tickets first.....
i need to figure out if we will visit the park at least two different times in a year (live 400 miles away, so not too bad), and if we will it makes sense to purchase the annual pass.

They do that only at Disney World not Disneyland.
They don't fingerprint at either park. At Walt Disney World they measure your finger size and width and tie that information to your ticket, but there is no image of your fingerprint taken. Insane amount of misinformation.
Disneyland does not record any finger information at all.
It is hard to imagine a equipment that measures your finger size and width but not capable of taking fingerprint. I guess you can always give them the middle one.
The biggest saving is to ride as much as possible in a limited time!
Recommand this software http://www.ridemax.com/. I used it for my 5 day LA Disneyland and California Adventure ride plan. My family rided Splash Mountain for 6 times, California Screaming Roller Coaster for 6 times, Space Mountain for 5 times, Indian Jones for 4 times, Horrible Hotel for 4 times... We rided all the rides at least once and more than 2 times for most rides. We didn't miss anything.
That's enough. I needn't go back to Disneyland for years. In this season and next year we will ride in the Great American by using its golden pass. In the future we will go to Six Flags.
Thanks OP! This is a great deal. I was looking to purchase through the Mousesavers Ares Travel Link and only planned on purchasing a two-day park hopper ticket for $149 x 2. However, this deal will allow me to purchase an extra day at the same price and avoid the convenience fees.

I wouldn't bet on that. 4 or 5 years ago, they did the multiple finger width scan. When I was there in September this year, it was different. They had a little single finger pad. I suspect they are taking fingerprints now.
i wonder if anyone will complain about taking fingerprints, sounds too invasive. but i guess i am just "paranoid" like that.
am i correct in assuming that the "GRILLING", "QUESTIONING" only happens when you try and upgrade to an AP and not when you are using the last 3 days of a 6 day pass??
Even if you do get a "grilling", the grilling consists of what days you entered the park and what fast passes you used. If you are friends with the person you got the tickets from, you will easily have that information.
I looked up the volunteer day info for 2010. If you have a pass, you can use the free day for something else: If I have a valid multi-day ticket or Annual Pass or Passport , is there anything else that I can receive?
Guests who present a valid multi-day ticket or Annual Pass or Passport may choose from one of the following three options instead of receiving the free 1-day, 1-park ticket:
* Disney's Special FASTPASS® cards for certain attractions for you and up to 5 additional members of your party.† * A collectible Ear Hat figurine with exclusive trading pins‡ * Donate your free ticket to a non-profit organization designated by Disney Parks.
†Participating attractions are subject to change. Valid theme park admission required. The number of Special FASTPASS® Cards is limited and may not be available after 11 a.m. All Guests in your party must be present to receive the Special FASTPASS® Cards. ‡ Available at select locations.
Valid ID and a valid Walt Disney World® or Disneyland® multi-day ticket, Seasonal Pass or Annual Pass or Passport along with the voucher will be required at the time of redemption. No cash refunds or credits will be provided to Passholders or multi-day ticket holders who participate in the "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day." program and choose not to redeem their certificate for admission or exchange it for a redemption alternative.
We live in SoCal and often go to Disneyland with friends who purchase multi-day tickets. You must sign the back of ticket and they can ask you for ID when you use subsequent days.
