Now THAT'S funny...an app that recommends apps. _________________________________________________- AppShopper is an app which tracks prices of apps. If you want to "watch' the price of a certain app it will alert you when it goes on sale or is offered for free.

Nah, just laughing all the way to the bank while on my $30 SERO plan...
same price Im paying for my iphone.
yea + your voice usage...
Obviously you have never heard the term "unlock" or T-Mobile.
Only thing about this is that you can't utilize T-Mobile's 3G network on the iPhone since it doesn't have the 1700 MHz band which their 3G runs on. Might be worth the savings, but you won't be able to stream much. IMHO Apple needs to come up with something new or Android will sweep the market. With rooting and open source, the only limitations to Android phones are hardware. It's crazy what devs are doing already with it being fairly new. They can take all the best features and apps from all the released android phones and combine them and optimize the custom build to run as quick as possible for any Android phone that's rooted. Like right now I'm running the HTC Hero on my HTC G1, so it's HERO with a keyboard! The iPhone is good - but this is the stuff that does it for me.. endless customization.

Yeah, all that's cool and it's a nice device but 90% (or more) of people just want something that works and easily so and they don't want to screw around with that kinda stuff. For the same reason that Linux etc., hasn't swept the market even though it's open source and infinitely hackable. Apple's restrictive api and locking you into the app store does kind of suck but it minimizes problems and keeps the 90% happy.

Android is nice that it is open source, however, take a look at the quality of apps out there. They stink compared to the iPhone. Especially Facebook. The iPhone is so far ahead of everyone else that it will be years before Apple loses to the Droid or Palm.
"Apple has given iPhone developers the advantage. Not only is the iPhone based on OS X, but the development tools are based on Xcode and Interface Builder, and while not as many developers are likely already familiar with Cocoa touch as, say, developers might be with Android’s language(s) (or web developers may be for the Palm Pre), existing Mac developers can make those tools sing. And, given the SDK Apple provided, even new developers get a huge head start in terms of functions and user interface elements.
Sure, that means there’s a lower barrier of entry to creating poor iPhone apps, but it also means great developers aren’t wasting their time re-inventing UI wheels, or fighting the OS to do right by their apps. They investing that time in making great apps."
JustLJ said: Good Grief. Are we going to get postings every day about what someone found on sale using PandoraBox? i don't see what the big deal is - a lot of people RAVE over all the posts that come up from DealExtreme.com and they never have anything on sale, just their regular prices! so why all the fuss about this?

Sorry, I didn't actually have anything to contribute. I just wanted to see how long I could make this ridiculous flame/quote war.
