probably a typo. You are right! The only thing stopping me from buying one of these is 600 does not work for me. I need at least 768. I was excited when I saw the specs and price of this but when I cross checked, I found it is indeed 600 as you mentioned. Amazon has this for 282.99 through Buy.com. So far the only one I have found that has 768 is HP Mini 311 but that is more than $400 shipped.

Good deal. I got the same one for $370 couple of months ago.
Now I'm looking for a 12" netbook. (like S12 or 311)

Appears to be the same thing at Buy.com for a few dollars less: linky
interesting....i just cant imagine this being a 1024x800 since thats a 4:3 ratio, and nowadays just about all the laptops and netbooks have a 16:9 ratio.....

crap! It better be what the samsung and pcusa website say it is else I am returning it. As difficult as it is to digest the 1024x800 resolution, but that's what the website says. I downloaded the user guide and it does not mention the specs. Can someone who has this, confirm the resolution. I don't want a 600 resolution netbook!

It's by 800, stated in manufacture's website http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/office/mobile-computing/netbooks/NP-NC10-KB02US/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=spec
I have a blue NC10 that I bought around 5 months ago. The model number is noted as NP-NC10 underneath.
The screen resolution is 1024x600 by default and it is the highest you can go through windows resolution thing. However, samsung has a program that comes with the netbook named Easy Resolution Manager that you can adjust the resolution 1024x728. Only negative thing about this resolution is sometimes lowers the refresh rate. Also things seem a little weird, like strecthed horizontally. So I didnt like it much, running with 1024x600.
Other than that its a great netbook. Installed win7 pro, and runs smoothly. I highly recommend this anyone who needs a netbook at this price. I remember paying around $395 for mine.

Hope these commands help.
I checked the website, from the pictures it seems same as mine but model numbers are different so the screen resolution might be different for that model.

wsvga supposed ot be 1024 by 600 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Vector_Video_Standards2.svg
It's 10.1" 1024x600. The "800" is probably a copypasta typo from the last item listed on that page, which has a 12" 1280x800 screen. And as NetComrade noted above, WSVGA is listed alongside the (incorrect) numbers.
I own the blue NC10-14GB, which is 10.1" 1024x600. Why Samsung would release a display in netbook form factor that is ALSO 10.1" at 1024x800 is beyond me (-:

I just contacted Samsung. They double checked, and told me it is 1024x800.
Some video cards allow you to set a resolution higher than the screen resolution, but then the screen scrolls around to see the whole desktop. Speculating that could be the reason for the difference?
All 10" netbooks I've seen are 600 horizontal resolution.

user manual says 1024 x 600
While there aren't a lot of NC10's on retail display to check, all of the one's I've seen this year had the 1024x600 microdisplay.
Screen resolution, like keyboard quality, is something that manufacturers and retailers intentionally omit or obfuscate in favor of more important features, like shiny pink exteriors and 3G rebates. Instead of giving us convenient access to specs, we're told it has "WSVGA", which means nothing. Unfortunately, the Best Buy-ing public has told industry they don't want specs, so mfr's are free to do as they please.
Do not believe the 1024x800 figure, even if Samsung tells you so.
I'm SO PISSED. I called yesterday (11/16) to confirm that my order had gone through. I was told that yes my payment/order had been received and had been packed and in the process of being shipped. Today (11/17) I got a call saying the pink one I ordered was out of stock. The CSR offered that I go to ama zon.com b/c they had it for ~$20 more. He also offered to give me the blue one for the same price. I balked at that suggestion since it had been on sale for LESS just a few days earlier. He then informed me that the sale was over. I told him that the blue one held less value to me, I would only get a pink one for $349 there was no way I'd pay him $349 for a blue one! After that he told me that he could give me the blue one for its earlier sale price of $299.
The only options I told him I would accept was either a blue one at a discount I felt $275 would be fair for the inconvenience, etc or a black one at the same price as the pink. He told me that wasn't possible, that I could get the blue for its previous sale price (an option I am considering but wouldn't tell him). I pointed out to him that had I wanted a blue netbook for $299 I would have bought that in the first place.
The part that really peeves me is that they lied to me yesterday when I was told my computer was packed and ready to ship! I feel that they should be making some concession; clearly a blue one isn't worth $299 in my eyes, but a pink one holds more value to me. I know its vain and silly, but I'm a girlie girl, pink is supreme.
I was worried after I placed the order because of the few/bad reviews of this seller. Their website is pretty lame also. But they shipped quickly/correctly...
I cancelled my order - had an argument over the phone with the guy about picking my order up and he got me VERY frustrated. Then I read the horror reviews so I decided against buying it.
