OMG. Krispy Kreme is available on the flight! How cool is that.

Air Asia Snack Attach brochure page 5. The other food looks really good too.

Green for cool Asian options.

modding you up for page 5, the stewardess' suggestive look, trying to fit 4 krispy kremes in her mouth. i guess she loves that cream.

Airasia have been expanding fast. Hopefully will enter US soon.

Not free if you take into account all the fees, taxes, bogus charges, etc etc. Also not a good deal if you don't enjoy your airplane doing acrobatic stunts at 30,000 feet due to correct maintenance not being done on the aircraft. I experienced exactly that on a flight from Bangkok to Phuket. Not really a worthwhile way to save the 30 dollars I would have saved by flying Thai Airways or some other real airline.

Is it safe?

I tried booking for 4 guests from kuala lumpur to Trivandrum and it shows Rs.24,000
It doesn't look like free.
And Rs.24,000 is a big amount for this free offer.
Let me know if anyone knows how to book for a mimimal amount from TRV return Kuala Lumpur

Just read my post above. It pretty much explains everything. There is nothing free on asia air, not even drinking water. Their "free" flights become quite expensive by the time your credit card is charged. Better to fly a real airline.

Looks like a good deal for those living in kuala lumpur as you can almost go anywhere... but if you are coming from else where, the only destination is kuala lumpur. Or am I missing something?

Sure, why not? But actually my story is true. And I was not the only one on the plane scared for his life. That was 5 years ago, and I have not flown them since. The plane suddenly rotated nearly ninety degrees, with the right wing tip pointing almost straight up, and the engines revved up a lot, then, the plane suddenly banked in the opposite direction, basically a 180 degree shift, so now the left wingtip pointed straight up, with the engines seemingly at full throttle. This went on for about 10 seconds, then the plane shuddered violently, and straightened out. No explanation , no clean underwear, nothing. Maybe you would have found it amusing, but nobody on that flight did.

There are some pretty good deals out there. I am going to book a Bangkok to Rangoon flight, all in price is 700 Baht about $20 bucks. I am not sure if I will be able to get a Burmese visa owing to my occupation, but at least I will only be out $20 bucks instead of the $100 it normally would cost. (You need to have a plane ticket in hand before you apply for a Burmese Visa).

To address some of the points above, Air Asia has just about the best safety record of any Asian LCC. I would book then without hesitation. Heck this will be my 11th Air Asia flight in the last year for a total price of less than 330 USD.

Warning to all. Air Asia is known for credit card scams. Their online booking system is not suited for use by USA addresses, so your card will be rejected in the booking process due to an address or verification error. Following that failure to book, myself and someone else I know had fraudulent charges appear on our credit cards from Air Asia for flights that we did not book. I think someone who works there has access to the logfiles for rejected credit cards and then racks up charges on them...

Here is a link that shows others having booking problems on their website. Here is one complaint of fraud. There are many others. Just Google...

Very shady airline and supposed to be very poor in service as well. So glad I didn't fly with them...

I love how cheap AirAsia is. Their service is actually quite good considering the cost. I've flown with them several times over the past year. They remind me of Virgin. All of the seats are leather and the air hostesses wear red. I only wish I could plan out my trips so far ahead

I flew AirAsia about 12 times in the past two years. I bought all the tickets on-line from U.S. The service was better than those of most U.S airlines. Yes, I paid for coffee on AirAsia, so did I also on U.S airlines. They will accept American Dollars or other currencies. Which U.S. airlines accept foreign currencies? A young Brit at Bangkok had a 78 lb suitcase and he was waived to go. On U.S airlines, he would have to fish out $75-100 for the overweight.

Paid only Rs.460 as airport tax for 2 persons.. from Trivandrum to Kualalumpur.. Couldn't get return tickets for free
