you should have more green for this. sweet little set-up for about half the price B&H is selling it for. i wouldn't trust it as a tripod, but a $30 monopod with good reviews is a sweet little deal.

I had one of these. For the price it's OK as long as you don't expect too much out of it. Really it's kind of neither here nor there - not stable enough to serve as a tripod for anything other than maybe a lightweight point-n-shoot and not as good as a monopod/hiking stick as most other dedicated versions (heavier, doesn't collapse down as much, not as rugged). The reviews on Amazon are pretty accurate. Read them and consider how you'll use it before you buy. To tell the truth, the legs seemed like a good idea when looking at it on paper but in practice they proved not to be very useful and result in too much of a compromise versus a better monopod.

got it for G10 - should do fine! and would agree with you on a subject of use!
