To top it all off, Hankook offers Road Hazard warranty for no additional cost for the first 25% of wear on the tires. Figure saving yet another $12-20/tire versus getting the insurance post-purchase.
Not being a car enthusiast, I must say your deal title was totally inscrutible to me---Japanese Anime? Bizarrely-named samari PS3 game? Trendy cellphone or netbook? I had no clue. Might want to put the word "tires" in the title, if only to facilitate searching for your deal after it eventually drops off the forum. Just a thought.

Not to excuse the OP, but check the category listing that's under the title. Usually gives you a good idea of what realm the topic covers.
I think what prompted the popularity of this tire was the Car and Driver article where this tire was rated # 2 I believe, behind the Dunlop Z1 Starr Spec.
For the price, you cannot go wrong. I tried ordering a set of 225/45/17, a very popular size for 17" wheels, and they were sold out! At the time, the 100 rebate only applied to 'in stock quantities.' No one had instock quantities. I believe Tire Rack has about 6 warehouses throughout the U.S.
I ended up getting the Hankook R-S2 at a great price.
