* Condition: 100% brand new * Color: Blue * Extend Length: 26 feet * For dogs up to 45lbs * Instant push-button stop engages powerful brake * Single-thumb action locks leash into fixed position * Comfy handle, wide hand entry area accommodates hands of all sizes
I've had plenty like those, but my dog can just give them a good yank and plastic inside breaks and it's useless. Admittedly I have a 60 pound wolf with a will of her own, but this is probably fine for better behaved or smaller dogs.
This may be a good price, but honestly, these things are dangerous. If you have a dog get yourself a nice leather leash. Easy on your hands, and more importantly lets you keep your dog under control. Flexi-leashes like this can turn into choking/tripping wire if your dog is running around on the lead, and 26' of extended line with a dog on the end just isn't safe.

This would be fine if you had a small dog. Also, you don't have to use the whole 26' if you think it's too long (I personally can't imagine using a leash that long), it's just extra length if you want it.

What does leash length have to do with the size of the dog?
I think the safety issue comes with both the low strength (look at the "rope"--it's tiny) and the poor control that naturally comes with flexi-leads. Yes, they can be locked, and that does improve on the poor control, but it doesn't increase the strength. There are plenty of accounts from people with reasonably strong dogs breaking the lead and being hurt/causing harm.
For the record, I use a Ruffwear Roamer as a "long" lead and a 6 feet hemp lead for regular walks.
