Adorama has 3 x Sandisk 8GB Extreme III Compact Flash card (30 mb/s) for $149.95 Link
There's a Sandisk rebate for $80 (visa prepaid card) if you buy the 3 memory card until Jan 2, 2010 Link
There's free shipping, so this will net you $69.95 for 3 cards, or approximately $23.32 each.
** They do collect tax for NY & NJ **
To make this even sweeter, you may be able to use Bing to get 3-10% off: 1. goto bing.com, Click on the Shopping link, search: Adorama compact flash (Link), and follow the search result to get AdoramaCashBack.
I don't know if the Bing will work (have heard stories about Adorama not reporting sales, or only giving it on specific items), so consider it as icing on the cake only. Great if you get it, not a big deal if you don't.
This is an excellent reliable card for your cameras (Canon 50D or 5D).

Everyone got these for free a while ago after rebate. Hence, all reds.
There's always a better deal at any one point in time, but I wish people will remember that these deals are also for those who need one now. Also, where was the free deal? I don't think I ever saw that thread.

I don't think I ever saw that thread. It was a long, long time ago (like the beginning of the year). I've been waiting for a similar deal ... and waiting ... and waiting ....

And before that we got the Lexar 300x UDMA CF cards for free after rebate. And then there were other Sandisk rebates and the time Costco put the 4GB Ultra II cards on sale for $9.97 each and so on...
Some people need new cards now and at the moment this is one of the better deals out there as opposed to paying full retail prices.
Wow, talk about Fatwallet divided. 10 negative and 11 positive. Anyway, I just received notice from Adorama that my order is ready for shipment. Next, to see this bing CashBack comes through.

I have had so many issues with Sandisk sending the rebate cards. I've sent in three things and have yet to ever get a card... in theory though it's a good deal.

Did you check the sandisk rebate website? https://www.web-rebates.com/sandisk/ If you don't see it posted there 2 weeks after you've submitted it, try giving them a call.
This is a good deal. I got in on another one of their rebate deals and got all my visa cards. Although one was suppose to be for $150 and they only gave me $75. I called them and they sent me out the $150 and never cancelled the $75, so I got $225 rebate. I asked the lady if she wanted me to cut up the $75 card and she told me to use it and sorry about the mistake. Lucky me. So if there is a mistake, just call them. In for 3 more. I figure if my memory is fading, I'll buy more of this kind. hahahahaha
