Quick question about getting TV's shipped to your house. Do they come damaged? are there any problems? I have only every bought them from a story and never online.

Thanks.
Yes, every TV shipped come damanged. It's really a shame that they do that...
Question, how do you think the TV's get to the store? I bet they get shipped...
You don't have to worry about damage in shipping. They pack them well and these are too heavy to toss around, plus these aren't shipped via the Postal Service.

Very good. Works nice on BD and upconverting DVDs and does Netflix. I have seen it for maybe $170 at the lowest price, currently around $200. ..... Dennis
I second that. The BD-P1600 is a great player and we haven't had any problems playing any Blurays. We've had it for about 6 months and there have been at least 4 firmware updates. It now plays Blockbuster online rentals and Youtube videos, as well as the original Netflix and Pandora.
For Dell, it's a 15% restocking fee, and you have to pay shipping back. That's why I didn't buy the Panasonic X1. 1. They couldn't tell me the manufacture date of the TV since those models had a problem with diagonal lines before June 2009. 2. If I got it, and it had the problem...that's what the lady on the phone at Dell said I would have to pay.
Otherwise, I did order a 46" Bravia from TigerDirect last Christmas. And, I would have ordered the 50" X1 from Dell had they been able to confirm the date of manufacture.
So you're comparing a 42" to 46" 720p to 1080p LG to Samsung Plasma to LCD
those two TV's couldn't be anymore different if they tried. Well, maybe if one of them was not a TV at all. The LG can be had easily for under $600 from several different sites. The Samsung is generally over $1020.

I did not mean to ruffle your feathers nor was I comparing. I just put it out there even being a smaller screen, but more importantly $300 less

Wouldn't that have warranted a new thread then? Not sure it's going to help too many people buried in here.
