You can use your own mandral if you already have one. And supposedly they are even cheaper in the store than they are online. If you order online do in-store pickup if possible to save yourself any shipping cost. Also 5% FC available.

Depends on the size. The ones that seem available are the smaller sizes for which a spade bit is fine unless you need the hole plug that you're cutting out.
I just got back from local Sears Hardware - all of the Craftsman Professional hole saw bits are around $3.. Unless you already have it, they sell a Craftsman Professional Mandrel Kit, not on sale 19.99. BUt still for $30 you can get a complete set that should last a lifetime.
