I am signed up with Panasonic EPP through my work and noticed the 50 inch Viera X1 (TC-P50X1) is listed at $720 with an additional $100 instant rebate, brining the total to $620 before tax but with free shipping. The 50 inch Viera C1 (TC-P50C1) is $595.20 before tax with free shipping, but I saw a previous thread about this on fatwallet. I'm not sure what the difference between these two are as they are both 720p.

Use Panasonic's compare item feature on that website. Very handy in this case. The X1 is worth the $25 investment. I ordered the S1 from them almost 2 weeks ago and still haven't received it. They are blaming it on the hurricane, but the truth is that it was falsely labeled as "in stock" on the website. Was told it will be at least another week.
Thank you. I was able to sign up and order. However, although I received a confirmation email to my order, my order does not show up in my account page. Is this weird or normal?
I have this television (bought it 6 months ago for $920 at the time) and I love it. The picture is awesome and for what I use it for (Office: HD Cable and XBOX 360) I don't need 1080p.
a couple hundred more for an S1 when they come up cheap is worth the additional IMO. for the neo-pdp panel. Def a good price for the size though if all you care about is biggest you can get for as cheap as possible.

I am in the same boat, the people at Panasonic Direct are . . . well LIARS.
It is almost worth the entertainment value to give them a call and ask about the status of an order, the first person just said it hasn't shippied and disconnected me before she finishe the sentance "is there anything more that I can help you w"
I called again and the second person first told me that some group there had to verify my employment. I asked if I could talk to someone in that group, I was told they were all in a meeting, so I asked when would be a good time to call back and who should I ask for, it which point I was told the item was out of stock. I asked how that could be, it was showing as in stock on the web site and the email I received said that it was in stock. I was told that those were "automated". I asked if "automated" = "correct".
Anyhow, I am guessing it is going to be a while before they ship.
if you need help signing up, you can PM me and i'll send you the info, i don't want to publicly post it, as that's how these loopholes often get closed.
Why not provide an example of how you can log into the EPP site without being an employee. Two posted elsewhere are completely dead. So if you have a method, please post it here.

you actually have to sign up for the program with a group id which panasonic provides to participating companies. each company has its own group id. so if you can find a group id, you can sign up. it's not legit though which is why i don't want to post it publicly.

GREEN 4 U,
Purchased from Sears 4 weeks ago @ $689 with PM to hhgregg. Thought I had the best deal then, oh well. This is an excellent TV. Do some research (Google is your friend) to find how u can properly "season" this plasme for an even better picture!
jtownsucks46, your EPP "sign up" worked perfect.

How reflective is this TV's screen? I got an LG plasma a while back, but with the kitchen light right behind the sofa, the glare is very distracting when the kitchen light is on. My old LCD didn't have this problem. The spec says this TV has anti-reflective coating. Does it make it better?
I don't see how to get such an ID. It says on the EPP web login, "Only registered users can access the Panasonic Purchase Program. If you haven't registered yet, you can do so only through your company's Intranet.". This means to get registered you have to go through a partner's website. There was one for suny, but that was shut down.

UNDER THIS BELOW PARAGRAPH, there was an icon that said "REGISTER" I guess they removed it after FW affect
Your password is CASE-SENSITIVE so please enter it exactly as you did during registration. If you are having trouble logging into Panasonic Direct, please contact Customer Service at 800- 405-0657 or via email at EPPSupport@us.panasonic.com. You can also request a new password by using the "Forgot Password" function.
The deal is only any good by virtue of the fact that this particular item has an additional $100 off @ the checkout. If that wasn't the case you would be paying $720 + tax which is MORE expensive than the Dell deal posted recently! Further, the 42" X1 Viera is $540 + tax which is once again MORE expensive than the deal I posted too! This just goes to show that certain EPP's aren't any cheaper than major store chains.
