Yes, he's unique and somewhat of an acquired taste. Hard to imagine how he came up with his singing and songwriting style.

Heh. Didn't think there would be an abundance of Tom Waits fans here. He's a pretty polarizing figure.

PS check out "Walk Away" on his "Orphans" collection. It's the best Waits song I've heard in many years.
