I've done this for the last couple of years and was pleased to find that its still active. It used to be a Readers Digest thing but now I see its owned by Time Inc.
The greatest thing Ive found is that a new subscription starts as quickly as 2 weeks! Also its nice that you dont have to deal with stinking autorenews like so many seem to be these days.

They will bill you before the current subscription ends. All you need to do just mark "CANCEL" on the billing stub and send it back to them if you don't like the price offered for the new term... i renewed EW last year for less than $20/yr. They dropped the price again this year and it's the best i've ever seen... Original Post with better price
