Amazon has Eneloop 8 pack AA 2000 mAh Pre-Charged for 21.90 w/FSSS. Not a hot deal, but better price than they've had lately. Comes out to the same price as Rayovak hybrids at Target after taxes, gas etc....

If you look at it from the top (the "+" end) if the battery underneath the cover is white, it's rebranded eneloop, if it's black, it is not an eneloop.

The Costco deal is by far the best, because it comes with a lot more batteries and different sizes, but I don't have a Costco membership. Unless someone can tell me how to get a guest pass for free or some other workaround without having to get a membership, I guess this is the next best deal.
Very interesting user reviews and comparisons to the Rayovac Hybrids. What is the best charger to use on these by the way? Can I just use the one I have for Energizer?
I am the perfect candidate for LSD pre-charge batteries, because I only use my camera once every 2-4 weeks. I have been using standard Energizer nimh 2100 mah batteries for almost 2 years now, and a freshly charged set will now only last 1 session, if that. As a matter of fact, I put a newly charged set in my camera, but didn't use it. 2 weeks later I went to use it and the batteries were completely dead. This is far worse than it should be for standard nimh batteries, so I can only assume it has to do with the age of the batteries?

Sometimes they can be revived with an advanced smart charger such as a LaCrosse. Many times they're just toast, especially if you've been charging them in a dumb charger and have overcharged them before (leaving them in the charger for too long after they've reached full capacity). Sounds like it's time to recycle your old NiMH.

I was thinking of the Costco 10-pack deals for $19.99 that have been posted numerous times this year. You're right though that non-membership stores don't often have this type of pricing.
Mulox - The Duracell hybrids (pre-charged) look like this. If the Duras don't say Precharged, they're regular old NiMH which you don't want (well, unless they're very cheap and your usage isn't affected by higher self discharge).
Yes, any of the LaCrosse chargers will do. They have more expensive models with extra features but it's not necessary for basic use.
And the 8pk of AA has been between $24 and $31 for 99% of this year. I bought the 4pk AA for $11.20 on July of this year. This is a savings of $0.50 compared to that I suppose.
