They removed the password protection from the site and it is now working again. Those with SERO or other older plans (i.e. F&F plans) will have reportedly tighter upgrade options and if you are not eligible for upgrade it will tell you.

NOTES:
--Remember that California residents still pay tax on the original amount (599$) BEFORE any discounts.

--Ignore any weird invoicing you see on your Sprint account. You will only be charged the proper amount in the end.

--If you have a Spending Limit account you cannot invoice the purchase and can only use a credit card for payment.

When I attempt to select a Touch Pro 2 for upgrade, and enter my Sprint login and password, the web site tells me that my account is not eligible to use this web site.

No go for SERO?

If you are getting that message then you are not on a modern plan. Anyone with old plans (SERO, F&F, even retention plans) are not eligible for discounts other than the standard 150$ contract renewal credit from now on.

If you switch to a modern plan like Everything Data then you can get good 25-27% discounts applied and if you have the Share (family) plans, your plan price is 100$+ before discount which qualifies you for full upgrade every 12 months instead of 24 months.

We all sero users had gone thru this when TP came out last Oct. Do your research before u attempt to upgrade your phone. sero users could upgrade to TP2 but not online. that all i say before u do your own research u lazy bum.

Am I doing something wrong? I clicked everything and Im currently on the sprint RX promo and it still shows up as $599.00 at the end?

1. Clear cookies and temp files
2. The site shouldn't recognize you right away
3. Are you upgrade eligible?

I'm on Everything Data Share 1500 with 27% corp discount and my main line is upgrade eligible under Premier status. It worked for me today.

1. Went to sprint.com/citigroup
2. View All Phones
3. Clicked Upgrade on Touch Pro2
4. Entered my username/password
5. Choose which line I wanted to upgrade
6. Declined accessories
7. Went to checkout

*shrug*

I think it worked for you because you already have the corp discount. I'm having the same error as everyone else and it is also saying enter a valid account number.

EDIT: Is there a way for me to get the corp discount on my account?

No go on SERO

At the moment I'm only eligible for $75. Do you need to be out of contract to get this? If so I think you can get those same prices just by signing a new contract.

hi, i have one of those old retention plans which obviously does not work with the new phones. would anyone know, if i ordered phones through this web site as i am eligible for upgrade on three of my lines, would i be able to just go ahead and sell them or use them as christmas gifts for someone other than me? or any chance the moment will work with the old plans?

It worked for me,but I was a new contract and also go a $50 invoice credit with SAVE50.

does this work if i sign up a new account?

I don't have a Citigroup discount. I have a 27% discount with a different corpID (Chase Bank), so that isn't the limiting factor.

When are you eligible for full upgrade credit? If you're not a Premier member, then that date would be the same as your contract expiration date. Are you still in contract? Premier members can upgrade every 12 months instead of at the end of their 24 months contract.

Most people with the original Touch Pro's and other new phones are still within their 24 month contract. As I said, you have to be upgrade eligible or else the site will reject you (or if you're 12 months into a standard 24 month contract it'll offer 75$ off and no other discounts - i.e. 525$ for the 599$ Touch Pro2).

Yes, if you sign up for a new account the deal works just select New instead of Upgrade next to the phone you want.

The corp discount really helped me dropped my good legacy plan & upgraded me to a new Everything Data Plan which in the end allows me more minutes & all the data I can eat for just $10/month more while able to add the new HERO as an xtra fone.
Thanks SPCS.

Very true. The newer plans with a good discount on them still beats the competition by far, plus it avoids the hassles of cashing in on deals like these. SERO users are being blocked from more and more upgrades and options as Sprint looks like they are weeding them out. I also like having everything included without upgrades and the Any Mobile perk has made it so I barely use any minutes at all.

Now if Sprint would just offer share plans with smaller pooled minutes for even less money I would be all set.

my price changes for the pro2 to 529 after login :S hu?

Almost worked for me. I put the order in no problem, but next, I received an email that my order was on hold until I contacted sprint. If I don't respond within 5 days, my order will be cancelled.

My order was cancelled after a couple of hours.
-Oh wait, I got an email and I guess my order is not canceled they just had to redo the order to port my phone #. We'll see what happens.

this phone is a real value even at $300 considering what you can do to it. you can turn it into a phone with features that you really want, with custom a ROM.

could you tell us a bit more what you mean turning it into a phone? and the custom ROM? thanks, really interested in knowning what this phone is capable of doing.

Have two lines on Sero, contract up in 6 weeks. What's the cheapest/easiest way to upgrade? Family plan via the link above for $94/two lines/1500 minutes?

Fatwallet does it again!

I was in the market to switch to sprint and get the unlimited plan along with this handset.

I ordered as a completely new account, all online. It showed up several days later.

The breakdown for the handset, not including taxes looks something like this;

HTC T7380 WM PDA.......... $478.11
Phone Discount........... -$318.75

----------------------------------------
Total = 159.36 + tax.

I won't ask how they arrived at the amount, but who am I to complain. Worth noting, I was half asleep when placing the order, and missed the $50 discount code... shame on me

Thanks!

Did you contact them? Because I got the same email.

anybody verify that the discount shows up on the bill?

it took over a month and a half for them to bill me for the phone. but, it was billed at $214.
And, i'm getting the $100 rebate.

another failure here for a SERO user

So, only one person has actually received the phone so far? Anyone else get their phone yet?

It didn't accept the SAVE50 code last time when I tried it in October. It's really a very really nice upgrade from the Rumor or any other phone, but even after tweaking it could still use a faster processor (800 Mhz, 1 Ghz) instead of the 528 Mhz it comes with.

I just converted a co-worker on this deal and it worked for them. This was a new-line though and not upgrade. They called him for verification, he said to Sprint "oh you want me to cancel since I don't work for them?" and they said since he was already approved they'll let it slide.

Used the SAVE50, plus referral, and the he's getting the mail-in rebate. So after all credits he'll have the phone for 25$.

+200$ Phone
-100$ MIR
-50$ Credit
-25$ Referral
=25$ Total

How does one get the $100 MIR?

anywhere we can still get these new for under 200?

Skipping 48 Messages...

Is the TP2 even worth getting for $200 at this point? Or should I wait for October 1 when SERO users can pay a little bit more to use Android phones? I do like my 500 minutes/$30 plan but wonder if it's worth it to pay $20 more per month to use a newer Android 4G phone. I'm still on a Titan/6800.
