I have been looking for a good guidebook for my Canon XSi, after getting in on the Am@zon bundle. I found this one at my local bookstore for around $20 and it seemed to be pretty well written. It turns out that Am@zon currently has it for $3.27 w/ FSSS. Seems to get favorable reviews as well for a beginner guide.

XSi Camera Guide @ Amazon

Not part of the deal, but the XSi Companion is also supposed to be a very good book, but is about $13 more on Amazon and ~$25 in bookstores.

can i use this as a guide for T1i/500D? hehe...

Most of the general photography portions are probably going to be the same in both guides if you are a beginner. Also, considering the only differences between the XSi and T1i are the slightly larger LCD, video and a 3200 iso, many of the camera specific functions described in the book should be similar.

Hey, can anyone recommend a good guide for the Sony dslra350k? I got in on the FRYS deal last month but the manual was missing. Got a great deal on the camera, but could use a good guide. TIA
