Please read this ENTIRE post before posting any questions about this deal...your question will probably be answered if you will just read through this information first. Thank you!
Papa John's has a code posted on their Facebook page for a FREE Medium Cheese Pizza with an online purchase of $10, BUT the code works WITHOUT the $10 minimum order requirement!
Update @ 10AM on 11/17... This deal is extremely YMMV at this point. Looks like the majority of PJ stores have now upped their minimum carryout and delivery order requirements to $10. Some stores have even deleted the medium pizza option because they didn't want to honor the coupon. However, there may be some PJ stores that still have no order minimum or a lower order minimum, so you just have to check your local store (again, YMMV). The code still works, and it appears you can combine it with other coupon codes, but make sure you add the other promo code first and then this promo code.
This code comes up as a "Free Medium Cheese Pizza", and I added two extra toppings (extra toppings are $1.49 each). So I got a two-topping medium pizza for $2.98 plus tax. Cha-ching! You must order online and choose carryout or delivery, BUT if you choose delivery most PJ's have minimum order requirements (varies by store, but I think the system will tell you if you're under the order minimum), and of course you'll be charged a delivery fee.
Edited to Add...It appears some PJ stores also have carryout minimums, and these can vary by store. My local PJ's has no carryout minimum, but their online system will tell you if your store does.
I would like to recommend that you don't just order the free medium cheese pizza by itself even for carryout. Either add one or two toppings, or order some pop or something. I had no problems with my order. But it's up to you...if you want to try for a totally free medium cheese pizza, then go for it. As I stated, the code will bring up a "Free Medium Cheese Pizza" at no charge, so if that's all you order then your total will be zero. But this code is valid thru 11/19, and I just don't want to see it killed before then. You can only use this code once per account (so if you want to use it again, just make a new account with a different email address).
Edited to Update...It appears you CAN possibly use this code in conjunction with other codes & specials, so go ahead and try it if you want to (YMMV). Just make sure you enter the other promo code first, and then enter the promo code below for the free medium cheese pizza. One possible combination...add their current special (link is in right in their ordering system), your choice of the 6-Meat or 6-Cheese Large pizza for $10.99, and then add the coupon code for the free medium cheese pizza. So you'll get both for $10.99 plus tax (plus delivery if applicable). Also, you can change at least 2 (sometimes 3?) of the toppings on the 6-Meat pizza, so if you want to delete two and add two different toppings go for it (not sure about the 6-Cheese, but I'm guessing that probably works too).
From Papa John's Facebook Page (thanks to j_hig @ SD for the "heads up" last week that PJ's would be posting this code):
Hey Papa Fans -- We appreciate you for being pizza fanatics! Please use the code below to receive a FREE medium cheese pizza with an online purchase of $10 redeemable on 11/16/09 though 11/19/09 (online only).
Promo code: PZZAFBFAN
Make sure you're entering the code correctly. A lot of people are trying to add the "I" in PIZZA. There's no "I" in the code.
Promo code should be entered on the MAIN MENU page up at the top, it says "Enter Promo Code"...it's a yellow box with a red tomato.
You will NOT receive a confirmation email! Papa Johns online system is having some problems and is not sending out confirmation emails, BUT the online orders ARE going through. Recommend you print out or write down your order confirmation number and order total. You can call your local store if you need to verify your order (I ordered earlier today, didn't receive confirmation email, but my order went through just fine).
When I checked out this popped up: The total price of the items in your shopping cart is under the minimum dollar amount of $3.99 for Carryout. Please add some items.
So I guess items need to be added to make it at least $3.99.
ty op, didn't abuse. Ordered a large 'the works' and this additional cheese pizza delivered. Now I don't have to make dinner and I am only two points away from 25pts to earn another free pizza.

That's your LOCAL store. Apparently some PJ's also have carryout minimums, and it can vary by store. My local PJ's has no carryout minimum.
It appears you CAN possibly use this code in conjunction with other codes & specials, so go ahead and try it if you want to (YMMV). I tried to do this earlier with my order, but it wasn't letting me do it, but I just tried it on another account and it works...very strange. Up at the top of the Main Menu page there's a yellow box with a tomato that says "Enter Promo Code". You can pay online during the checkout process.
Just wanted to add that I never received my confirmation email when I ordered earlier this afternoon, and many others aren't receiving theirs either. I called my local store to verify they received the order, and they did. So I think Papa Johns online system must be having some problems today sending out confirmation emails, but the orders are going through. Recommend you print out or write down your order confirmation number and order total.
Thanks OP & velveetah - Just ordered a large 6 meat with free medium cheese in Ames, IA for 11.76 carryout with tax. Apparently the local store's minimum carryout order is $3.39 BTW.
Still for $5.50/pizza it's hard to beat and will feed a poor college kid for a couple days.

As listed in my posting:

I just could not bring myself to take advantage of such an obvious flaw in the system. I ordered a six meat pizza (substituted items so I do not have a heart attack in my sleep ) and added the free pizza (+ pepperoni). I never got an e-mail but they had my order ready when I got there.
Thanks OP
If the system lets me order a 1 topping pizza for $1.50 tomorrow, well that's their fault for not fixing it
The total price of the items in your shopping cart is under the minimum dollar amount of $1.00 for Carryout. Please add some items.
so a free cheese is out of the question. A one-topping however is tempting at:
Quantity Item Total 1 Free Medium Cheese Pizza Medium Original Crust 1-Topping Pizza Anchovies $1.39 Make Changes Remove
Total $1.39
Tax $0.08
Total Excluding Tip $1.47 Tip Amount $0.00 Grand Total $1.47 Grand Total $1.47
I am concerned that I will get 'free' natural extra toppings, if you know what I mean. For that reason I am passing on this deal. Anyone here ever work for PJ and know if their computer system makes it visible to employees how much online orders that are paid with CC online paid for their order?
Thanks OP. Got a large redskins special and a medium cheese for 10+tax. The pizza is good with lots of toppings. No email, called the store and went there after 5 minutes.
When I first tried in a couple of days ago, the coupon worked (I didn't follow through, though). Now its says $10 minimum. PJ's around here have 1-topping small pizza for $5 before 4, everyday.
