The Onkyo HT-S5200 at Vann's.com
Free shipping/handling.

FW CB at 3% is another $13 off. This the cheapest I could find this particular HTS. I needed a new one that was an upgrade to my old Onkyo system, decently priced, and had the 4 HDMI inputs I wanted. 3 and 2 was not enough to grow. Plus it has all wall mountable speakers, Audyssey volume control for loud commercials, 1200 total Watt, Sirius radio ready, 2 component video inputs, and an iPod dock.

This is an excellent deal. I have one at home an it works like a champ. Just be sure you have enough space for the receiver since it gets too hot.

I love my old Onkyo system and it doesn't even handle component video, that's how long I've had it. They really are work horses. I like the S5200 because it was the in-between model that still had a lot to offer from the previous version and was still reasonably affordable. The step up model from this one was already too much over my budget and only offered "some-day" DTS's that didn't seem worth the extra $$.
Thanks for advice about the receiver getting hot. I will keep that in mind. The other thing I read was that some HDMI inputs don't carry audio to the TV? Will have to budget for some optical/coaxial audio cables, but they're cheap nowadays (i.e. Newegg).

I was actually just looking on the review for this unit on CNET this afternoon, good find!

It is $10 less at 6Ave, only 1% CashBack though.

This system looked promising until I found out it does not decode the HDMI audio stream, and send it to the speakers. Kinda silly if you ask me. The 6200 system for $100 more will decode the audio, I will probably consider that one instead.

also 429 at Newegg

I paid $403 at 6Ave with coupon BONUSBUY enjoy.. this is awesome equipment for that $!!

ru serious so what does the HDMI do; just direct the video to the video display & act like a switch??
