I'm hoping that the complaints are about the 3rd party sellers, not the products sold directly by Amazon. Reportedly, there are lower-quality foreign products being gray-marketed in to the USA.
The reviews are not vendor specific so you have to realize those bad reviews are directed towards certain third party vendors that have been selling counterfeit brush heads. There are counterfeit brush heads being sold super cheap (around $2-$3 per brush head). I doubt Amazon is shipping counterfeit products so their price is very good for the real Oral B brush heads. In fact I doubt you will find a better price. I was duped into buying counterfeit ones from eBay.

Excellent deal. Although I have bought cheap oral b brush heads on eBay, and they were made in Germany, thankfully I did not have the bad experience that some on Amazon.com had. That said, if I could have bought from Amazon.com directly, I would have happily paid this price to avoid the risk of getting ripped off.
I just want to give everyone a bit of a warning; in order to get the best pricing, Amazon unknowingly sometimes buys from sources that aren't legitimate. A little while back I called up Universal Studios and spoke to an executive CSR about a defective disc in a season series which was bought from Amazon and had been exchanged by them once already. He told me that on a different season series (not mine) Amazon had sold many sets that they determined were counterfeit. The good thing is that if these should prove defective, Amazon's great customer service should refund your money without issue. Don't hesitate to call if they seem to fall apart.

Just an FYI... I clicked on the link here and the page it opened up did not have a subscription option so I copy and pasted that link in a new browser window and got the subscription option. Can't beat that price. Thanks OP.
I wanted to buy Oral-B electric toothbrush from Amazon.com because they have free shipping on like, everything, but the only ones they had were being sold (at WAY marked up prices) by third parties. However I heard about Amazing Watcher.Com which is a free website that will “watch” items for you on Amazon and let you know when Amazon has them in stock at regular retail price.

Floss Action 3-pack refill (sold by Amazon) only $11.64 after subscribe-and-save discount now...the cheapest I've ever seen anywhere (except maybe on eBay for fakes)...
