Not sure what you are talking about. We got ours a couple months ago and love the thing to death. Not a problem with it at all, and I've been very impressed.
For those of you interested in Samsung fridges, I have the RF266ABPN. This was rated in the top five of Consumer Report's best fridges.
It is probably too new to have reviews, but JD POWER has given Samsung highest in customer satisfaction in French Door fridges for 5 years in a row. Great fridge, unheard of price! Buy it now! Black and White are available for $1198. Remember, this is a french door with Ice and Water dispenser, never found at this price anywhere I have seen..
Yes, I work at Lowe's.

Got one from Issaquah Lowes for $1200 + tax. I forgot the 10% coupon at home and the salesman/manager agreed to give me 10% off, I bargained a bit more and he agreed to go for $1200 as long as I buy an extended warranty for $119 (4 yrs coverage). Warranty has a liberal return policy, so if I don't need it, they said, you can return it.
BTW, found a rebate for multiple appliances from Lowes - Rebate
It's not expired. I still see it online for my zip code for 1398.

This deal just got SMOKING HOT! I stopped by the Lowe's on my way home from work to checkout this deal. I wanted a white one with the LED lights and when I looked around, they actually had one with the old fashioned lighting on display next to one with LED lighting on display and they were priced the same $1198. Above one of them there was a green sign stating they would take %15 off all Samsung appliances $227 or more. I ended up paying 898.50 pre-tax after adding on a 10% movers coupon plus free shipping and haul away.

The 15% off is for cooking appliances. Did it ring up that price or did you complain?

Yep, smoking hot !!! Went and did a return/buy with the 15% off + 10% off and spent more for the range/dishwasher/microwave to get the samsung $100 rebate on top. Delivery is out in January, so if the WA appliance rebate comes in by then, will go and repurchase again as Lowes is pretty cool about all that.
Thanks OP !!

I need an ABPN model too... Stainless is the fingerprint magnet and I will be too lazy to clean it regularly

Picked up one in Canton, MI for $1398 for fridge and Samsung washer and gas dryer $900 plus 10% movers coupon, manager would not let me stack that with 15% as she told me it is double dipping, but again super hot deal.
Basically they say if you don't use the Ice machine regularly, the ice backs up in the rear of the tray and the ice making sensor believes that the tray is full. Fix it by using the ice machine, even if you put a couple of cubes back in the tray or toss them.

They wouldn't do the 15%. Said it was already included in the price (I called a couple of stores). Used 10% of though. Thanks OP

The Lowes in Sunnyvale CA tells me I cannot do the 10% off coupon with the Samsung $900 washer and dryer deal. Should I go back and retry?

15% got declined. he said it was included in sale price. he did actually show me the register. other samsung products showed final price as list price less 15%. this one didnt show the discount. He talked to his manager who offered me 10% ..i declined. may buy tomorrow, anyway
those who got 15% + 10% off deal got real lucky!

EricSnoBord, can you tell me which store you get the 15%? The store here in Burbank won't do 15%. They said the price $1398 is already discounted.

Hi, r9973, could you please tell me which store in WA you got the 15% + 10%? the local Lowes told me they will match the deal if I can tell them the name of the store had that offer. Thanks in advance! --- dyw33
Got mine delivered today, it does has LED's in the Fridge, regular bulb in the freezer.
Pretty tall had to remove a small cover (ice maker connection) on top to have a fit under the cabinets. So far look great, bigger then the old 20 cu ft Whirlpool it replaces. Interior light is a little dim with LED's/

can anyone tell me the shape of the ice cubes that the samsung makes? are they crescent moon shaped, like many of the whirlpool kitchenaid icemakers make?
Vorshtein said: can anyone tell me the shape of the ice cubes that the samsung makes? are they crescent moon shaped, like many of the whirlpool kitchenaid icemakers make?If you select 'cube', the 'cubes' are in the shape of a segment cut by a chord out of a 1/2" thick disk. The segment base is roughly 2" in length and 1/2" in width at the point where the radius of the disk is perpendicular to the base of the segment.
If you select "crushed", the ice comes out in all sorts of fantastically random small bits.
In either case, the ice comes out from the unit cold and frozen.
