Have not been keeping up with PC video cards but I imagine this is cheaper now since the newer way is hdmi from your pc video card to receiver? Honestly, I have not checked. They got to be pretty expensive still?
I guess it's good if you still have an "older" 5.1 receiver and don't want to spend the dollars on getting a new one with hdmi/7.1
