I just got an e-mail from the dealer saying they have a 2010 Nissan GT-R Premium for $6000 off MSRP or a lease special. I believe this is a phenomenal deal. I spoke to them & they confirm they still have the vehicle & have one more incoming by mid December. These vehicles sold for $10-$15k over MSRP for the longest time & even now certain dealers have them for MSRP.

This is not for everyone.

What a sexy car... I heard these GTRs don't have a manual transmission option. I just wouldn't feel right driving such a sporty and fast car that isn't stick !!!

I like this post, not so much for today but for the future when I can get one of these for about $30,000 or so (used obviously). I guess these cars aren't quite as exlusive as the automotive press said they would be.

This has the same type of auto (manual/paddle shift) transmission as my G37S. Provides a decent compromise between the pro's of both. Remember this is a 2010 model...things have changed a little from the days of '69 428 Cobra Jet 'stangs..

Quite a few performance cars still offer manual transmission though. Even the Sport 6MT version of your G37 has it. I'm just sayin, it would be nice if they offered this for the GTR.

Many Ferraris and Lambos are the same way. Hell, even the Bugatti Veyron, currently the fastest production car in the world, is only offered with an automated manual.

I don't want to get off topic but the dual clutch in the GT-R is not the same as the automatic with paddle shifters in the G37. Oh and great deal for those with the means (not me )!

Heh, I'm sure it's due to "customer spec" - there's probably a lot of people who prefer the newer tech or auto stuff. More so than the manual "purists"

Ehhh, I'm just one of the weird ones who actually likes manual. I've been driving an automatic clunker for the longest time after my stick broke down. So sad...

This is so your wife can drive it and it can serve as a "family car" too.

Correct. Its not even close. Most people dont realize that F1 cars have similar paddle setups. The good ones can shift much faster than even the best driver can with a regular manual transmission.

LOL. yeah, when she needs to go to the supermarket a block away.

3pm: "Honey, I'm going to pickup some crutons from the store. I'll be back in 5."
4pm: "Wow, it turns out they were out of stock on the crutons! So I had to go to like 4 other stores in the area and they still didn't have them!"

Yes, I am fully aware that these two models do not share the same transmission units. The point I was trying to make was the concept is the same (i.e. auto with paddle shift "manual" mode) with roughly the same performance ability/times as the pure manual model.
