I've only heard about how bad trading games in at GameStop is but have never done it, and I'm in the market for a Nintendo DSi for a gift - think it would be worth trading in games at 30% extra trade credit towards the DSi? Also, I doubt people will be standing in line with their used games, so think this will be available in the afternoon?
Will the PS3 deal be offered on GameStop.com? I'm looking to get another PS3 (on my friend's behalf) and I would love to get my hands on the LBP GOTY, GOW1, and 2 games.
Infinite42: I have used their trade-in service once, and I vowed never to use it again. I received games from a friend who move away, and took them down to trade them in. I was offered a relatively small amount for them, but chose to take it, since the games were freebies. What got me was the enormous markup on the used games. $25 trade-in value, and then the game sells for $5 less than a brand new game. I usually sell my games on CL now. And, sometimes I'll hang around the counter in GameStop to see what people are trading in and how much they are being offered for it. If they get lowballed and it's something I was looking for, I'll quietly pull them to the side and offer more than they're getting in trade-in. It's a win-win for both of us that way.

You doubt people will be standing in line with their used games? Ummmm...why? And how are we supposed to know if the DSi will be available at any particular GameStop at any particular time?

Seriously, the only deal there is the Left4Dead and Forza 3, everything else is regular price. I wasn't aware Tekken 6 and GH5 are $39.99 regular price.

I'm pretty sure this was sarcasm. And he has a point -- advertising games at full price as a deal just because they will be in stock?!?
Thanks, OP. I was waiting to see if GS had anything good to offer. This is shaping up to be the worst BF yet.
They should add "WITHOUT THE LINE AT BEST BUY!!!!!" That's worth it alone.

I admire you sense of sarcasm. I noted GameStop's enthusiasm for a non-event.
Left for Dead 2 looks about the best deal in the flyer.
I did note the free AC/DC track pack, which they have listed as a $59.99 value. WalMart had it in stock last week for $9.99: a big difference from Gameslop's valuation.
And to add a little humor to their otherwise abysmal ad, Gameslop's in-stock guarantee is actually a three-day in-stock guarantee. Whatever that means... Maybe they guarantee that three days after you tried to buy it, they'll have it. Or maybe they mean that since people are likely to buy the games at a lower price elsewhere, they can pretty much assure you that it'll be gatering dust on the shelve in their stores over the holiday season...

I thought it was obvious I was asking a more universal question regarding the demand of the DSi this season. Sorry that went right over your head.

OMG! They are going to have Uncharted 2 and Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time on sale for $59.99 each.
I guess I should have waited instead of buying them weeks ago at Fry's for $49.99.

I remember back in the day getting kicked out of Funcoland making a counter offer for Mega Man 5.

I was so exciting to see in the post that Gran Turismo is going for 29.99. Then I saw the scans and realize it's the Prologue. Meh. GameStop sure have all THE BEST DEALS :/
