Logitech has been rolling out a couple of new SqueezeBox models recently. One of these is the SqueezeBox Radio. The roll out retail on this is $199.
Right now I see a couple of places that have this on sale for $149 (Amooezon, Worst Blys, and Crutchfield). At Crutchfield there's a $10.99 shipping charge, but entering the code "3A825" will knock $20 off your order. If anyone has any other enhancements to better this deal, please come forth.
I personally have a SqueezeBox Duet and adding a unit like this SQB Radio would be a fantastic enhancement for me, but this new unit will work standalone.
Just a clarification, by "standalone" I mean you don't need a Duet reciever to utilize this radio, you would need an internet connection (wired or wireless).

If by that you are somehow implying that I am a shill for the vendor "whose name starts with a C", let me just say, I do have the highest regard for their business practices, their integrity, their customer service, you name it. But as far as prices go, they are pretty much retail, however, in this case, with this particular deal, they are in fact offering the best pricing.
Amooezon, Worst Blys, and Crotchfield ---> SEE; TRIfecta...
Seeing these prices keeps me reminding of the awesome Sing, Dance and Not Wet Your Pants! deal from years past. Still going strong at home with firefly media server...

This isn't much more than the standalone receiver that comes with the Duet, but you don't get the digital audio output. Still for some rooms this will do because having the color screen is a huge plus vs. no screen on the receiver.
Crutchfield also has the red one for same price as black, even though Amazon is charging more for red.

Show me something better, FOOL !
I do so love to get to quote myself
The "FOOL" reference was not delivered in anger - colebert's avatar is Mister T. Perhaps this is before your time, but Mister T's signature line was(is) "I pity the FOOL"
Nice deal - I've been considering one of these actually. We have three Roku m1001 devices and a chumby but I can hardly resist another device to stream radioparadise!
Oh - and I got the Mr. T reference - but I guess I'm old enough to remember wrastlin' and The A-Team.

And most importantly, it's got speakers and is semi-portable. I say "semi" because the details on the battery power for this unit are not completely clear to me at this time. My understanding is that some sort of re-chargable battery pack will be avaiable as an accessory for this.
For me this means more easily taking my sounds outside on the patio or front porch or down to the laundry room. My Duet is hooked to a whole house sound system with speakers in most rooms and speaker outlets on the patio and in the basement. Adding this unit to my particular setup would just be very convienient.
