Only 32 bit?
You do know that 32 bit will do what 95% of the public needs, right?
That could be rephrased better as "I wonder why Dell is not offering this machine with the 64bit operating system as an option," but that takes too long to type (oops, too late). I expect this to last 3-4 years. Given that a lot of s/w development is progressing on the 64 bit platform, there will come a time in the life of this computer that I will want to add an app which is 64 bit only. 64 can run 32; 32 can't run 64. I don't want to drop another $100-$150 and have to reinstall everything in a year or two in order to upgrade this to 64 bit. I do agree that I'd take an $80 credit in a heartbeat if they'd remove the monitor.

Sorry but that is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. With more and more gaming on the pc x64 bit is a almost a requirement. 3 gig of memory with the more intensive games just isn't enough. I run 8 gig of memory and notice much much more fluid game play and I'm far from being in a 5% bracket. I'm sorry but I whole heartedly dis-agree with your comment.

100% of the public - 95% normal people = 5% gamers

I'm sure if anyone wanted 64 bit they would just have to call (or wait a few days when they update the options like they do with every bloody thing they offer) ansd they can have 64 bit.

I have plenty of Technet Plus keys so I'd take a credit on Windows 7 too
