I almost bit on this, but decided last second to go with Nvidia. I have a 3450 in my HTPC that's running ok, cept it's actively cooled; I'm looking for passive cooling. Why NVidia? Because I had so many problems trying to get Mythbuntu working with ATI drivers when NVidia seemed to have better driver support for *nix systems.
Great deal, nonetheless, and I still might buy it if I can't find a good Nvidia card for cheap because I'm running Win 7 MCE and probably wouldn't try to go with Mythbuntu at all anymore.

yea, fyi, i live in NY, and this thing came in like 2 days. I bought two other things that also came in two days, i love new egg regardless. they do business right!
my order came back saying they are out of stock on the hdmi cables, but the card already shipped. kinda sucks they don't give you an option to cancel the order but sweet the card is already out.

Ordered yesterday and they shipped it same day with the free HDMI cable.
What I'm wondering is whether it makes sense to just get something like this rather than an older one to Hybrid Crossfire with my onboard HD 3300... Is the performance of one newer card going to exceed the Crossfire setup?
In for one thanks OP! Just used my last sub $30 PCI-E card in a clients PC and been waiting on a deal for a replacement spare. Hopefully the rebate will fly, but if not its still a decent price at $29.74 with a free HDMI cable to boot.

SHAME on Newegg. Don't factor the rebate in as as good deal. Good luck getting it if you send everything as requested.
MSI is scamming on the rebates. If you order from Newegg :
1. MSI won't notify you they recieved it. Even if you go through the website. 2. Will reject having received it 3. WIll reject your rebate as they will not accept the Newegg email / confirmation as proof of order.
What a bunch of hoey doing business with MSI.
Newegg down two notches in reputation. Not honest and lump em in with Tiger direct now.
