Title say it all. They have this sale event twice a year and the best thing about it is the coupon. As we all know, Macy's is infamous for the exclusions on their coupons, but with the FF coupon the only things that are really excluded are Cosmetics and Fragances. Coupon is valid in store and online. The only difference is that if you order online, the coupon won't work on Coach purses.
Since my mom and gf both like coach purses, I always wait until this sale event to buy them their overpriced purses!
If you're a Macy's card holder, you should get it in the mail already. If not, all the Macy's stores will have them in the store to give away up until the event.
I have a stack of coupons and all the codes are the same. The online code for Macys.com purchase is "MACYSFF".

I don't know if you're blind or stupid, but hopefully you just need some better light in the room.
Macy's South Coast (OC) is always a place to stop in and shop- got a Calvin Klein tuxedo for my upcoming wedding for only $220...

Which coupon are you talking about? The coupon in the OP says 'valid December 2-7, 2009.' If you are referring to the online code I think it's highly probable that Macy's would use the same code every year for their F&F sale.
Anyone have luck going to the store and requesting a coupon?

I will also be doing the same thing. I bought a coupon off of eBay for 59 cents shipped.
In the true FW deals sense, those who have Bank of America credit (and I believe debit) cards who are eligible for the Add It Up program ( http://additup.bankofamerica.com ) get 5% Cash Back on in-store Macy's purchases when you use your BoA card. The F&F discount coupon makes no mention of having to use your Macy's charge card.

I edited the quick summary to include the Macy's.com link, the In-Store printable pass (it's in PDF format) and the online code for the F&F discount and free shipping. I'm not sure why there are 2 different codes and what the difference is. The MACYSFF specifies $99+ order for free shipping while the site doesn't mention any stipulation on the MACYSFRIEND code.
I don't know about other Macy's but the one in my town, they are practically begging you to take the coupons. They put stacks of coupons on a table at every entrance and offer to give you one after you check out at the counter. They even have people drive around and pass out the coupons to local businesses around the area. If you haven't gotten it already, don't worry about it as I'm sure they will have a coupon by the register to scan for you. Macy's is pretty strict on their coupon policy for associates (no keeping a coupon at the register and scanning it for every customers) but with this coupon, they are free to go crazy with that policy for some reason.
Also, there is also a pre-sale going on for the FF sale. Meaning, if you want something that you think might be selling fast when the FF sale starts (particular name brand purse), you can pre-sale it for the FF price (after coupon), leave it at the store, then when the sale starts come back to the store, pay for it and pick it up. At least I think that's how pre-sale works.
Yes, I do know a few ppl that works at my local Macy's

I checked the prices on various items that I've purchased online from them before or have had my eye on. All of the prices are on the high end of the range of Macy's 'sale' prices. It seems like the best use of the F&F sale may be for items that never goes on sale, otherwise it's best to wait for 'lowest price of the season sale' combined with a 20% off coupon (ETA: even if you have to pay for shipping, it still works out cheaper).
When ordering on Macys.com, why not represent FW and use this code:
25% Off Friends and Family + Free Shipping on $99 or more Coupon Code: FATWALLET (expires 12/7/09 11:59pm)

I was thinking about buying a couch this weekend...I guess I could use this coupon if I bought one at Macy's. Does anyone have any experience with their furniture?
