This has been heavily advertised here locally in Cleveland, Oh but Im not sure if its a nationwide thing. Anyhow, we are going to wait a couple weeks until our tree is up to take our picture, but the demos are really cute!
http://www.TheSantaVideo.com - Prove to your kids that Santa is Real | Video Of Santa In Your Own Home | Video Cost: $10
10% OFF a single purchase with Code: "MERRYCHRISTMAS" = $9
Gift Certificates, Buy 2 Get 1 Free - Code: "B2G1F" (I tried to stack it with 10% off, not valid)
I went through the whole process, and its really pretty neat. I have copied some information from their FAQ page below. You basically load a picture of your living room or any other place you would like Santa to appear. The software then uses what looks to be, some green screen technology to make it look like Santa is actually in your home.
Also, the payment process was through paypal.
Update December 3rd - these guys sent me an email on Monday for 30% off a video, not sure how this was relevant to cyber Monday - but nonetheless i just got around to reading the email and it seems the code is still good, and stackable with the 10% off. For all of you dieing to prove to yourself that santa is real, looks like you might be in luck

You get random people that come up to you in crowds and ask if you own a website that produces cheesy Santa videos ? Thats quite odd..

I have nothing against the idea, but the execution is a little lacking.
I know it's "only kids" this will be shown to, but I think you'd have to be pretty young and/or dumb to think that looks real. In the era of HDTV, Playstation 3 and such, a Land of the Lost style chroma key-like production ain't gonna cut it.
So the video consists of Santa walking in front of a picture of your living room?
The $10 bucks may actually be worth it if you got a dvd to "prove" you taped it yourself with a hidden cam or something. Having to log on to a server sponsored by the company kind of defeats the purpose IMO.
How about a video of Daddy slaving away all night to put together those toys that have "some assembly required" slapped on them? "Some" assembly?! Last Christmas, the Army Corp of Engineers couldn't have helped me with that stupid bike I had to put together.
VeganG said: $10 sounds like a lot of money to "prove" a falsehood to a child who doesn't know any better. Who do you think put that bucket of coal in your house last year?
I should buy this with my office in the background.
That would prove who has been stealing the milk and cookies off my desk!!!!

I went through the whole process- this is actually really fun! I did it as a joke for my husband and he couldn't stop laughing! I can't wait to do this for my kids.
doesn't seem that cool. there's been lots of free customized viral vids in the past - disney did one where you run the park, and there was another prank from the last election where you could be the "dark horse" candidate that was going to win it all. that one even had some speech synthesis to say your name. this just seems lame compared to those.

this is really lame for $10. you can make yourself into an elf for free. lots of fun stuff for free. santa walks in and out. nothing spectacular for $10. way overpriced. and your condescending "happy hanukkah" is completely uncalled for. just because someone doesn't like this deal doesn't mean they don't celebrate christmas.

I reported your sock-puppet posts to the mods and they immediately deleted them. If you were actually someone who frequented FatWallet, you would realize that they also have a policy which deletes posts that contain quotes from posts they are deleting. Hence, my post(s) were deleted as well.
- Happy Hanukah!
Your belief that saying "Happy Hanukah!" [sic] is a way to criticize me says a lot about you and your company.
Thanks OP! had to use my camera to video record the laptop screen in order to edit out the gifts that didn't match what I had. I was able to reflect some flashing Christmas lights off the screen to make it look like the tree's star in my still photo was flashing. Can't wait to show the kids what we "caught" on video tomorrow morning!
