This has been heavily advertised here locally in Cleveland, Oh but Im not sure if its a nationwide thing.
Anyhow, we are going to wait a couple weeks until our tree is up to take our picture, but the demos are really cute!

http://www.TheSantaVideo.com - Prove to your kids that Santa is Real | Video Of Santa In Your Own Home | Video Cost: $10

10% OFF a single purchase with Code: "MERRYCHRISTMAS" = $9

Gift Certificates, Buy 2 Get 1 Free - Code: "B2G1F"
(I tried to stack it with 10% off, not valid)

I went through the whole process, and its really pretty neat. I have copied some information from their FAQ page below. You basically load a picture of your living room or any other place you would like Santa to appear. The software then uses what looks to be, some green screen technology to make it look like Santa is actually in your home.

Also, the payment process was through paypal.

Update December 3rd - these guys sent me an email on Monday for 30% off a video, not sure how this was relevant to cyber Monday - but nonetheless i just got around to reading the email and it seems the code is still good, and stackable with the 10% off. For all of you dieing to prove to yourself that santa is real, looks like you might be in luck

"BRENTWOOD" - 30%off
"MERRYCHRISTMAS" - 10%off

video = $6

$10 sounds like a lot of money to "prove" a falsehood to a child who doesn't know any better.

And I guess this video is for the kids that work the night shift and sleep during the day since its pretty plain to see its totally sunny out...

You're one of those people who hate Disneyland, aren't you?

the background image is your picture that you upload. So if you wanted it to be dark, you would want to upload a dark image

Well ya..think that would go along with that whole "night before Christmas" story that has been going on for sometime now..

and btw OP..are you the Santa in the vid or just the website owner ?

hilarious... blah - theres always one of you in the crowd

NantucketBucket said: hilarious... blah - theres always one of you in the crowd

You get random people that come up to you in crowds and ask if you own a website that produces cheesy Santa videos ? Thats quite odd..

Well I think I can safely wish you a "Happy Hanukah"

I have nothing against the idea, but the execution is a little lacking.

I know it's "only kids" this will be shown to, but I think you'd have to be pretty young and/or dumb to think that looks real. In the era of HDTV, Playstation 3 and such, a Land of the Lost style chroma key-like production ain't gonna cut it.

must be late... I read "Video of Satan in Your Home!"

Now, this...I'd give $9 for!

Ha! I will send you a video of my neighbour's kid for free.

So the video consists of Santa walking in front of a picture of your living room?

The $10 bucks may actually be worth it if you got a dvd to "prove" you taped it yourself with a hidden cam or something. Having to log on to a server sponsored by the company kind of defeats the purpose IMO.

Now that will scare my kids into being good more than knowing Santa is real!

Ebenezer, is that you?

I do this my self every year. I just get some homeless person and offer him a couple of cans of Camo.

How about a video of Daddy slaving away all night to put together those toys that have "some assembly required" slapped on them? "Some" assembly?! Last Christmas, the Army Corp of Engineers couldn't have helped me with that stupid bike I had to put together.

I am sure you think the Tooth fairy is imaginary too.

Who do you think put that bucket of coal in your house last year?

Face it, DisneyWorld is far superior...

Would it be wrong to have a picture of a porn movie set behind Santa?

Mong said: Would it be wrong to have a picture of a porn movie set behind Santa?

It would not.

I should buy this with my office in the background.

That would prove who has been stealing the milk and cookies off my desk!!!!

Hi-larious.

I went through the whole process- this is actually really fun! I did it as a joke for my husband and he couldn't stop laughing! I can't wait to do this for my kids.

I think that is a really neat idea!

BUT, actually seeing Santa running around in my house would freak out one of my two kids

doesn't seem that cool. there's been lots of free customized viral vids in the past - disney did one where you run the park, and there was another prank from the last election where you could be the "dark horse" candidate that was going to win it all. that one even had some speech synthesis to say your name. this just seems lame compared to those.

peas said: must be late... I read "Video of Satan in Your Home!"Somehow I think I'm too stingy to pay $6.66 for that! Now my soul otoh, well...

the Satan Video - "sell your soul this christmas" lol

the kids will love it

Did i do the update correctly? or was that suppose to go in the wiki?

NantucketBucket said: Did i bump my thread back to the top correctly? or is there a better way to drum up business for my site? Even though one of my shill accounts was deleted by mods, I can't keep everything straight

"ThankYou" but no Thank You - Im pretty sure there is a reason they deleted your messages last time and not mine

you'll have to make your own video! we are not sharing

NantucketBucket said: "ThankYou" but no Thank You - Im pretty sure there is a reason they deleted your messages last time and not mine - Happy Hanukah!

this is really lame for $10. you can make yourself into an elf for free. lots of fun stuff for free. santa walks in and out. nothing spectacular for $10. way overpriced. and your condescending "happy hanukkah" is completely uncalled for. just because someone doesn't like this deal doesn't mean they don't celebrate christmas.

lots of advertising on this site!

If you guys are not kidless let me be the first to acknowledge the douchebaggedness of your comments and if you don't have kids..........same!

I reported your sock-puppet posts to the mods and they immediately deleted them. If you were actually someone who frequented FatWallet, you would realize that they also have a policy which deletes posts that contain quotes from posts they are deleting. Hence, my post(s) were deleted as well.

- Happy Hanukah!

Your belief that saying "Happy Hanukah!" [sic] is a way to criticize me says a lot about you and your company.

Thanks OP! had to use my camera to video record the laptop screen in order to edit out the gifts that didn't match what I had. I was able to reflect some flashing Christmas lights off the screen to make it look like the tree's star in my still photo was flashing. Can't wait to show the kids what we "caught" on video tomorrow morning!
