$49.99-$5 Instant Rebate-$35 Mail in rebate = $9.99
Fly-By Deal listed expiration in 20 hours before but now it's up to 49 hours so it looks like the $5 discount is good for a while..
MIR ends 11/30
I just got one of these and it's the most solid keyboard or any piece of hardware I've used in a long time. It has a USB port on each side so it serves as a desktop hub also. Also features flat keys for more responsive typing. Again, the quality is just key. (no pun intended)
I've always wondered why more wired keyboard didn't have USB ports on them. Chances are if you have a wired keyboard, you might have a wired mouse!

Long time FW user but I haven't really ever posted before so I thought now would be as appropriate as any.
I'm in for one of these. I've been looking forever to replace my big clunky keyboard and based on great reviews this seemed perfect, by far lowest price AR.
Also, I called ZZF rep and asked about the MIR ending on 11/30. She said that as long as you PURCHASE the keyboard before 11/30 the rebate will be valid as long as postmarked w/in 30 days of purchasing. So in case any of you are worried like I was it wouldn't get here in time for rebate, worry not! (According to ZZF rep at least..)
Well it seems the online rebate systems (have to admit I haven't filed this one yet) make things a lot better these days, I did have a software rebate saying I need to submit more info when I clearly did as intructed - the proof of upgrade was either a photocopy of the CD -or- page off the manual and I sent the whole insert in, which was the only printed doc in the box. They went ahead and processed it without asking for more info after I emailed them back..
Ah, just looked at the form this one is not one where you register online...

ZZF seems to do the huge rebates when they secure a large supply of something that's been discontinued. I've gotten several items from them with gigantic rebates where the end price is "too good to be true". They're just moving obsolete stock, and I got my rebate each an every time. No problems.
looks like a nice-quality (brushed aluminum!) compact kb. I like the natural aluminum-colored version of this one too (but good luck finding a reseller that has it).
Interesting: bad right shift-key placement, hanging keys, double-key inputs. Newegg consensus is a little more favorable, overall, but there are detractors.
Yes, three reviews out of five. The only one that obviously have merit is the layout issue with the backslash key being next to the right shift key, and in my case I use the left anyway. The double key inputs and space bar hanging ones may very well be a result of a lemon but there's no way to tell how prevalent it is - people tend to be more vocal when there is something negative and a keyboard isn't necessarily something you spend time writing a positive review for. Also some people are just hard on the keyboard, have you ever seen someone hit a key so hard (like that's going to make the computer "get it") that the impact is significantly louder and you wonder if it left a dent? The chasis on this one is aluminum but the keys still sits on switches, I have to wonder if the other two reviews have to do with their typing habits and in the case of double entry just change a setting (set the repeat delay in Vista for example) so it's not an issue. Some peoples hand tremble so they need to change the mouse settings so they can double click rather than drag icons around.
I see there's one each 1 star, 2 star and 3 star out of 12 reviews on Newegg.
I did have a few times where it won't respond after I entered the BIOS, (but not every time and if I unplug and plug back in it'll work) even though it recognized F2 at first - I wonder what's going on there. But it seems to be fine if I turn ON the graphic splash screen on boot, I've had a similar issue with a video card but that was the opposite.
