Sadly I would have to pay tax since I am in California. But I can get better CashBack through Bank of America of 5%. The math is $169.99(cost)*1.0925(tax)*0.95(CashBack)-$30(mail-in-rebate) = $146.43 price per drive.
To be competitive on price though it would have to be more like $120-$130. I expect there will be 1.5tb internal drives for $80-$90 with free shipping and no tax from someone between now and Cyber Monday. The mail in rebate also really hurts this deal for me. It means $176.43 per drive out of pocket for a while.
