Highly rated CPU cooler-as good as high end air cooling. The one I see at the store has all current CPU models listed: AM2, AM3, LGA775, LGA1366, LGA1156.
FYI the fan that goes with this is supposed to be installed as INTAKE on the case, so you want an exhaust nearby and fortunately this is for someone with an Antec 300 with the top exhaust so I don't anticipate any problems.
Apparently the reasoning is you don't want the existing warm air in the case to pass through it so you're actually intaking cool air, I was reading the Corsair forum posts on it.. But with these top exhaust on the better cases it kind of works..
You have to reverse flow your case hopefully you have an exhaust out top or top of the front of your case. Else they would tell you to try to route the heat through the bottom front--bad idea. But generally in most highest-high performance cases you will be fine with airflow going out some other way. It does get the cold air to your cpu faster than going though hard drives ect!
