Awesome, thanks to both you and OP. Was in the market for this for an Xmas present and now it's 38.99 after the $20 off code and $40 Amazon store credit!
This would be the first of this series for me. I have a XB360 and PS3 (and Wii). Not interested in the Wii version, but is there any fundamental difference between 360 and PS3 version that would make me want to pick up one over the other? Thanks.

And stupid question, but will this work? T&C state the following:
Offer may not be combined with other offers, including promotional certificates.
I already got my $40 certificate and I used the $20 code. My question is can I also buy the DJ Hero bundle with the DJHERO10 code and get an additional $40? Or is it limited to 1 $40 code per account?

Awesome...thanks. Got my code instantly! Looks like one $40 rebate "per customer". I'm just wondering if: 1. I can use the code under my Wife's account (established account, same shipping addy, different customer), and 2. If use of the $40 promotional code in any way invalidated receiving the next $40 promotional code. In essence I'm hoping to order another bundle with little additional cash out of pocket. ($98.99 - $20 coupon - $40 promotional code redemtion = ~$39)...plus I'll hopefully still get the $40 code back again.
I just completed the order and I did NOT get my code instantly. It does say it will be added to your account up to two days after your item ships though. Hope it comes through.
In for DJ Hero - went to best buy and saw Band Hero for 149.99 (they advertised $50 off). GH5 has a promo for a $40 GC at Best Buy. So looks like this is the best deal here at Amazon if you're only going for DJ Hero, especially w/ the $10 off on top of the $40 credit.
DJ Hero Purchase: Subtotal of Items: $119.99 Shipping & Handling: $9.48 Super Saver Discount: -$9.48 Promotion Applied: -$10.00 Promotion Applied: -$0.00 Reward Applied: -$0.00 Promotion Applied: -$0.00 ------ Total: $109.99 Gift Cards: -$5.00 (had this from before) ------ Total for this Order: $104.99
After $40 credit that i'll save on something else I was going to buy from Amazon later anyhow:
$64.99
FYI, Got $40 credit/promo code in my email instantly. The promotion code must be used by January 31, 2010

great so apparently you can't cancel even if its been 20min since i made the order ... well if i don't get the 40 dollar credit, its going back to Amazon.

Congratulations. Your purchase has qualified you for a $40 Amazon.com promotional code. The promotion code will be applied directly to your Amazon.com account up to two (2) business days after your product ships.

Right you are. Didn't notice that at first. Thanks for the heads up.
Ordered another bundle. Figure once I sell the 2nd game (hopefully for $30) then I will have 2 shiny new guitars for cheap.

Thanks for the pointing that out. You were right. But Amazon did say it would take at most 2 days for the credit so there's still time! I'll try to update this thread once(hopefully) I get it.

When I looked at Amazon, I was pointed to a webpage that said one per household? My wife and I each have our own Amazon accounts. I was going to buy Band Hero for her and she was going to by DJ Hero for me -- but now I am not so sure we both can take advantage of the $40 credit.

Bumped this back up. Now the DJ Hero for X360 is $99.99 - $40 gift card, no coupon code needed. Must buy by tomorrow, pretty good deal as opposed to $120 in store.
What's the difference between Band Hero and Rock Band (other than different songs)? Also what new features did they add to GH5 (over Guitar Hero World Tour)?
