I just called for the $77 deal and got it. It might help that I have four sirius radios.

Google "marginal cost" for starters. They may allow it, but they have plenty of sheep on the rent rolls paying full price.

FWIW, mine was up today and I called twice and got nowhere except the service cancelled. First time ever I wasn't offered a good deal. The best the first one could do was $77 for a year and the second offered 6 months for $45. I declined both and the last one turned my radio off effective immediately.

$6.50 a month is too much?

rated:

Called last week and got 5 for $20, but no dice on internet streaming rolled in.

rated:

Might give it a try. Thanks, OP. I don't realize that they still honor the deal. I guess they are in deep need of member retention program.

called yesterday and got 6 months for $27 per radio. I have 4 radios. this includes fees, taxes and internet.

Strange. I just called because my account renews on 10/4/11. He said they have a special right now for $25 for six months and I said that I would take that. After making notes and processing stuff, he told me that actually I have a $30 credit on my account so that will take care of the charge for the next six months. Hmmm... He couldn't tell me why the credit was there, it was just there. Sounds strange to me. I asked before hanging up, "so my credit card will not be charged?" and he said that it would not.

I received a letter in the mail 2 days ago for the $20 for 5 months... so I'm sure it's still active.

For the folks getting $77/12 months, does that include Howard Stern's channels?

I had subscribed to Sirius since it came with my car about seven years ago. Loved it. Signed up stupidly for $135/year without looking here. Then a month later saw a charge for $36 on my card. Called them and they told me that it was for internet streaming. I called them and told them it was bs to be charged extra for the internet. Went back and forth, ended up cancelling the service, was refunded everything except the one month I used. I am going through withdrawals in the car, but have replaced the service with Tune In Radio on my phone hooked up via bluetooth to my car. I missed the BBC but get it streamed now and listen that way. The only thing missing is BPM.

I am also trying to get them to give me the internet streaming for free since I got this Radium program on my Mac (to listen to satellite and internet radio right on the computer).

They won't budge and insist on wanting their $2.99/ month just for the streaming.

Anyone here has had any luck getting it for free besides the $19.99 and $77 deals mentioned here?

rated:

Just called and got 5 for $19.99, wouldn't waive royalty fee, plus tax came to $23.70 in NJ. Was also offered the 12 for $77. Received a mailer with the $77 offer after they sent a full price one 2 weeks prior (right after the free trial expired). Internet streaming was addl $2.99 a month, passed.

Have a new vehicle that was to have Sirius for 90 days. After 7 months they finally shut it off. I called and was offered $77/year plus taxes/fees. I wanted an additional discount to offset the taxes/fees. No go. While talking to the rep, my phone shut off. A few minutes later I noticed that Sirius was on again??? That evening I read through the terms and conditions that I had verbally agreed to and I saw that after 72 hrs I cannot cancel and I am responsible for payment.

I thought I best call rather than not do anything and end up with a bill for the full amount. I called and explained what happened, and the rep pulled up my account and told me that she did not know what happened, but my account has 1 free year applied. It expires in Sept 2012, and she said she was not going to change anything. I said thank you and good-bye!

No Go on the $66.44, but $77/year still valid. No iphone plan at my house, still ok by me.

I have a new vehicle with a 3 month trial that ends Nov. 1. I called today and they would give me nothing even though i already another vehicle that has had XM for 5 years. I was told that to get eh 77.0 rate I had to wait for the mailing with promo code. Other than that best they could do is $9.90 per month.

rated:

Got the same reply earlier today. My trial is over (for one new car) and another that expires in two weeks. No special on either. What gives?

rated:

FYI, I was able to get 5 months for $26.xx after fees today (coming off a similar promo price).

Did I get the best deal? Rep offered me 5 months for $25 PLUS 2 Free additional months (7 months total). Then she said she messed up and added the credit for 2 months to the invoice making 5 months service only 49 cents! Sounds fishy, she said my invoice will be 49 cents and that's it for 5 months. We'll see. My last extension was 6 months for ~$28 which wasn't a bad deal.

Wife called in today after her 5 day trail expired from her new XM Snap. She got the 6 months for $25,and mentioned the cs Rep said it would auto renew at that rate. I told her she might want to confirm that in about 6 months! Haha!

rated:

$25 for 5 months plus taxes to $27, can't add online streaming, can't remove auto-renewal

rated:

Mine was set to renew on Sunday, the 11th. I called and got a very nice rep who immediately asked if the price I was currently paying was okay. (5mo./$25) I told him that it was but I couldn't pay any more than that. He said it was no problem and he renewed it for the 5 mo./ $25 again. No problems this time. Less than five minutes from start to finish.

rated:

Was able to renew 12 months for $94 all-in. Couldn't get them any lower. Probably my last year of renewing.

rated:

Hey Skimple, what does your 'all-in' include'? I'm up for renewal in a month or two and want to see what price their giving for 1-year of service & NavTraffic.

Thanks.
