Nothing near me but it looks like a good resale item.

Green for Stiffening Monster in same sentence.

lol

Throw away your Viagra prescription and buy a capacitor instead.

Not available in my area... so no green for you! This is a repost anyway.

So this basically makes the stereo or amp's dc-dc power supply a bit more robust?

Please put Radio Shack in title.

Wonder what kind of scam Monster is pulling with these... At least they're only $5.

And lol @ the title

Red for asking for something FW does not have.

Green for using Monster & Stiffening in the title.

1.0F with a digital voltage readout. For $5, it makes me wonder if this monster stiffening capacitor is leaky.

How does this compare to the Pfizer brand?

Darn, I thought it would be an upgrade for my flux capacitor.

What it really does is to provide short bursts of high current.

During strong, loud, low bass, the stereo (and amplifier) is drawing a lot of current. Since there is some resistance in the wiring between the stereo and the battery, the voltage drops a little. Placing this capacitor near the stereo will cause it to act as a little battery, supplying the extra current during the bass thumps.

Nice if you can find it, but I avoid the Monster name like the plague.
