These GE phones are made by Thompson Electronics. Not only are the reviews very bad, my personal experience with them has been terrible.
The phones have real issues if you have a wirless network in your house. They reset, so the phone rings - you pick up the phone nothing. The batteries only last about 30 minutes.
I had a 1 mth old GE DECT 6.0 phone that had these symptoms. After contacting GE, they dumped me in Thompson Consumer Electronics hands. I won't go into the horrid details of my experience, other then I finally had to ship the phone back myself. That was 6 mths ago,, haven't heard a word from them since.
By a Panasonic DECT,, I am very happy with the ones I have now.
